I cannot believe how my first year at Darton is nearly complete, it seems like only yesterday that I took my first Year 11 assembly and spoke to them about how quickly their exams would come around! Likewise huge thanks also go to Mrs Woodhouse and Mr Renardson and all of our teaching team at Darton who have worked tirelessly to offer additional support and revision session over the course of the term and during the half term breaks. They deserve every success. I have been fortunate enough to have contact with many parents over the last few months, dealing with a whole range of issues. We acknowledge that communication between us and yourself is not always as efficient as it should be. We are working hard to try and address this. As part of this work we have created a communication protocol that will hopefully signpost you to the appropriate person more quickly, it also includes key staff’s email addresses rather than just the general college email address. Under 13s Rugby Team Sport Achievement

Jack Riley 9RC has been selected for his first television appearance in The

'4oclock club' show on CBBC well done Jack!

Fantastic home learning from History class 9.2 - keep up the good work!

Amazing learning from Theo, Ben, Aiden and Jake in Nurture - Brilliant

    work!

Great news - our U13 rugby team won the Barnsley league without los-

ing a game! The commitment shown has been sensational throughout

the whole academic year, turning out in wind and rain to train. Several

learners were absent from Thursdays game due to competing in a cricket competition, but they have been a major part of the success

also. These include George England, Lewellyn McCormack, Joel Wil-

kinson and Mason Holmes. The team above included Oliver Bould, Billy

Beasley, Callum Gracie, Billy Addy, George Halliday, Harry Harvey,

Corey Haddington and Kyle Meteer well done boys.

    Article from Student Voice

On Friday 5th June two Year 7

learners took the time to go to staff

briefing to present an appeal for

staff to help with lunch clubs. The

idea was to seek out known and

    hidden talents of the Darton

College staff that they would be

happy to share with our learners

during a series of lunch clubs to

start at the school from September

    2015. Following the great feedback
