Do

Write a letter to the editor on a social media related topic, and have it published.

Have coffee with a PR practitioner and chat about how they are using social media personally and professionally.

Start your own ePortfolio (if you don’t have one already).

50 Points (for each task)

Call in to a radio program talkback program and talk about/comment on some aspect of social media.

Create your own infographic (using one of the free services online).

Create and upload a 60 second long (no more no less – that’s part of the challenge) audio recording of your thoughts on PR and social media (try SoundCloud, MixCloud or AudioBoom). Make it creative. Embed it in your blog.

30 Points

Create a PR/Social Media related survey on www.surveymonkey.com and get at least 10 responses. Report on your findings.

20 Points (for each task)

Review a café or restaurant on Yelp, Zomato (formerly UrbanSpoon) (or the review site of your choice).

Read and comment on 5 blog posts on the ALR206 Network site

Create a Twitter account and add 20 PR practitioners (only if you don’t have an account).

Embed your Instagram or Vine Feed into a blog post.

Upload a Vine/Instagram video (with some relevance to PR or Deakin) using #alr206

Take a photo with @deakin and #alr206 in it in some interesting location.

Participate in the #prstudchat on 25 August, 8.30 pm US ET (use http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html to find out the time/date in your location). Yes I know it’s next week, but you can edit your blog post!

If you have Twitter - Install Bufferapp on your laptop’s web browser and schedule five tweets.
