University of South Carolina Aiken welcomes you!! The Week of Welcome, also known as WOW, is designed to welcome new and re-turning students to the campus community through programs and activities. The entire week of events will help you discover the campus, find new friends, meet people who can help you get involved at USC Aiken, find new friends, as well as learn more about ac-ademic programs and services that are of-fered to students. The Week of Welcome kicks off with housing move-in on August 16th for residential stu-dents. Housing will inform you of your desig-nated move-in time. Once you are all setup in your new digs, it’s off to the Week of Welcome events for everyone whether you live on or off campus.

Housing Move In Saturday August 16th 9:00am-until

Students living on campus will be able to move into their housing assignments for the upcoming school year. Look out for Resident Assistants, staff, and student leaders to be available for questions.

University administrators will be on hand as the Class of 2018 learns about the academic rituals of college life. All new freshmen students are required to attend.

12pm-1:00pmLunch with Student LifeLocation: Pacer CaféSponsored by Student Life and Services immediately following convocation freshmen students will have lunch with the Student Life and Services Division in the Pacer Café. It will be free and delicious!

1:00-4:00pmDay of ServiceLocation: Meet in the Student Activities Center GymSponsored by Community Service and IMPACT Each year Student Life’s Community Service kicks off the new school year with a service project aimed at engaging new students. This is a chance for new students to get to know their community, fellow classmates and the Student Life Office through a day of service. Students will have a variety of volunteer activities to choose from. Volunteer service begins at 1:00pm leaving from the SAC Gym. Students will volunteer until 3:00pm and then return to the SAC Gym for conversations about their service. Transportation provided to and from the sites. Contact: Chris Lucas, [email protected]
