If your dog doesn't like nose‐to‐nose visits on the walking trail, get yourself a yellow ribbon to mark the leash! This will tell other walkers to give your pup the space he needs to be com‐fortable. Thanks.
Yes, they are! Bridge lessons are back, but with an al-tered approach. The lessons will be taught by Claire Zim-merman, one of our expert players. She would prefer a one-on-one, teacher-student ratio. This is somewhat like Montessori school, learn at your own pace. Claire is graciously willing to provide these lessons free of charge, with your choice of day, time and location for your lesson. Please give her a call at 281-993-8534 or email at [email protected]. The group always welcomes new players and we would love to have novice players join us. Please give Claire a call so you can get started in this wonderful, exciting game called bridge.

Front Door Maintenance
Your HOA dues includes having your front door maintained every two years. This means the door will be lightly sanded and a light coat of spar varnish applied. A new weather strip at the bot‐tom of the door is included if needed. This will help protect your door. How‐ever, if you postpone having the work performed and the door has to be refin‐ished (not just maintained), the HOA will only cover a portion of the total cost of $250. You will be responsible for a portion of the refinishing, depending on whether or not you need a weather strip. We will pay a maximum of$130 (the cost to the HOA of a normal maintenance including a weather strip) and you will be responsible for the rest. So it will pay to have the work done every two years – and you are entitled to it. Call AMI at 713‐332‐4675 and ask to be put on the “door list” if it’s been two years since it has been done.

MISTLETOE MARKET ‐ 2012
Wow, the time is flying by and finally a “touch of fall” is in the air. Farmer’s Almanac showing clear and warm for date of the Market. We’ll take all the help we can get!
All of the volunteers who have signed up have been notified and we appreciate their willingness to serve on this year’s Mistletoe Market. Additional information will be forthcoming as the date nears. We are still getting calls from vendors asking for space, but unfortu‐nately (or fortunately, I should say), we are completely full. Several are on a waiting list – just in case. If you haven’t signed up as a volunteer, but want to help, please con‐tact any officer of the Belles Club and we will be glad to put you to work. The Men’s Club is handling the traffic and golf carts – if you wish to volunteer in this area or you have a golf cart which can be used, please contact any officer of the Men’s Club or Belles Club. No one will be turned away. In the past, numerous of our BV volunteers have helped vendors with their set‐up. Please feel free to show up and offer this assistance. The vendors will be appreciative. We will be providing subway‐style sandwiches and drinks for Friday afternoon set‐up volunteers and donuts and coffee on Saturday a.m. for volunteers. If you can help with any of this, just show up – no one will be turned away!!!!
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Saturday, October 6, 2012; market hours 10 am – 4 pm. $1.00 admission. Ask your friends and relatives to come! It will be FUN, FUN, FUN. www.club‐bellavita.org for more information.
“Saturday Talk” highlights double “Headliners” on Saturday,
September 29th
“E...Gadd, It’s Emory !!! That’s right... and you won’t want to miss him ! Emory will be the guest speaker for our quarterly “Saturday Talk” – to be held on Saturday, September 29th at two o’clock in the afternoon. Our topic, “When You Lose A Loved One” has been requested by many in our community. Since our neighborhood so close knit, we are often saddened by the loss or severe illness of a friend or relative. We are a generation of “doers” and often wish to help in some way, but often wish that we had some help in knowing just exactly “what to do”. Emory is the perfect speaker for us ! Known for his community activism, friend-ship, humor and knowledge in this area, Emory will be here to share this special topic with us ! You’ll not want to miss this special discus-sion sponsored by the Community Rela-tions Committee (“CRC”). Light refresh-ments will be served. That’s Saturday Talk with Emory Gadd on Saturday, September 29th ! 2:00 p.m.
What happened to Carol ??? Don’t let it happen to you !!!
One of our very active residents woke up a couple of weeks ago and was unable to get
Out of bed or even walk. A trip to the doc-tor, two MRIs and three days in the hospi-tal still
Did not provide any answers. Be sure to join “CRC” at “Saturday Talk” and hear the “rest
of the story” from Dr. Mark Osbourne so it will not happen to you !...it could happen to any
of us at any time ! That’s right… Satur-day, September 29th at 2:00 p.m. for “the rest of story” !
“Coming to your street”... National Night Out ! Just a reminder to mark your calendar for Tuesday, October 2nd ! It’s the evening we’ll gather at a designated spot on “your street” to renew friendships with our neighbors. Watch for a list of the designated spots and host couples in the Weekly Newsletter in the next week or so. You’ve never had so much fun...”with your neighbors” ! Kindly contact Carol Barber if you plan to be a host: [email protected] or leave message at (281)464-3310.
