Maybe you know of a kid who would like the chance to win a $200 Mother’s Day bracelet. AVA Goldworks and the Hannibal Arts Council have partnered to sponsor a Mother’s Day jewelry design contest for kids.

DEADLINE TO TURN IN SHEETS TO AVA OR HAC IS APRIL 28 The winner of each age division will receive a Mother’s Bracelet created by AVA Goldworks. The bracelet of Mother of Pearl and Swarovski crystal beads will be custom made with birthstones representing the winner’s family. Each bracelet will also include a sterling silver centerpiece of the winner’s choice.

Jaimee Paul The Great American Songbook Saturday, May 6 @ 7:30 p.m. Parker Theater, HLGU Roland Fine Arts Center Paul was one of the performers included in the 2014-2015 HCA concert season, but a freezing rain/ice storm dampened the evening’s audience. Paul is a powerhouse vocalist who brings the Great American Songbook to the stage. Her musical influences include Sinatra, Crosby, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole and Etta James. She is backed by a jazz combo led by her husband, Leif Shires.
