Weekly Newsletter: Mar 9- 13, 2020 Truly, truly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. John 12:24

We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a fruit rainbow and donut cloud snack, a story about his life, a shamrock craft and a color mixing science experiment. The shamrock is a symbol of the Trinity, and the children know that includes God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit that lets us know God is always with us. We know that rainbows are symbols of hope and God’s love for us. St. Patrick’s steadfastness and faithfulness are models for us, especially in times of fear or discouragement.

In the Atrium, we had a lesson on the Parable of the Grain of Wheat. This lesson helps us contemplate the mysterious growth and transformation of the Kingdom of God that begins in hiddenness and in ourselves.

Many thanks to the Parent Association for arranging the Mounted Police visit this week. It was a big hit with the children. Also, many thanks to Candice for taking beautiful and highly anticipated pictures of the children this week!

Announcements:

All families are invited to a “play date” on the PMCS playground during our Open House on Saturday, March 21, 10am. We would love to share this time of fellowship with prospective parents and their children, as well as give them the opportunity to get to know current families and ask about your perspective and experiences at the school.

If you need to do some additional adjustment to your child’s car seat, etc after pick up, please pull out of the coned off area to the main parking lot to do so, so we can continue to move cars through the u-turn area.
