    Join Foundation Program in Miami-Any Wednesday in September!

    What is Foundation Program?Foundation Program (FP) is a structured studyprogram designed to support you in taking your practicBuddha's teachings to a deeper level. It was designed by Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso as one of the threestudy programs in the New Kadampa Tradition of Buddhism.

    What will I learn?We are currently studying the book Eight Steps to Happiness: The Buddhist Way of Loving-Kindness,Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, and are still quite close to the beginning ~ a perfect time to join! Classes focus meditation, study, and discussion of the topics in the book.

    When and where does the class meet?Every Wednesday, 7-9:30pm, on an ongoing basis, at the Unitarian-Universalist Congregation of Miam7701 SW 76th Ave, Miami, FL 33143

    Outreach OfertoryThis is the 3rd Sunday of the month. Undesignateddonations will go toHabitat for Humanity- Haiti.Remember: Writing Pledge on your check/offeringenvelope will designate your contribution towardyour pledge.     KUDOS DEPARTMENTEvery Sunday for years, without

    fanfare, John Asgeirson, JuneHarbett, Bob Jacober, JaniceMcArthur and Paul McCabe havecollected, counted and depositedour offerings - and they are willingto continue. We can really counton these 5 wonderful people!Thanks so much for doing thisvery important task. And, thanksto all of you who quietly supplynecessary support to ourcongregation. We will be

    A LOOK AHEAD-Congregational Meeting, Sunday,October 2, 1 PM in the Sanctuary.The purpose of the meeting is toapprove the minutes fromprevious Congregational Meetings& to review the budget for thisfiscal year and announce theBoard's financial plans. Memberswho have pledged for this fiscalyear are eligible to vote. (There isno longer a fixed minimum pledge;give as much as you can). Minutesare available HERE. There are 7

    sets of minutes to be read. Forthose who do not have access to acomputer, paper copies will beavailable in the Sanctuary over thenext few Sundays, or can bemailed.
