The Artesian Drive Weekly May 22-25 Character Education Monthly Theme: Fairness The Peel Character traits are important for building and maintaining healthy relationships to achieve a climate for learning and working where everyone can be successful. For the month of May, the monthly character education theme will focus on the attribute of Fairness: Fairness is the act of doing things that treat all people equitably and with respect. Knowing what is fair or unfair is important in helping people get along with each other. More than merely meaning “equality,” fairness means leveling the playing field and making sure everyone has what they need to succeed. Without fairness, we leave people behind who might not have the same advantages that many of us do. And so it is vital that we begin teaching our children to be fair at an early age so that the culture they create as adults is one which gives everyone the chance to prosper. Ask your child… Your bedtime is 8 pm. Your little brother’s bedtime is 7 pm. Is this fair? Why or why not? THIS WEEK'S EVENTS

We look forward to welcoming our new students back to school in September!

PALS has begun at Artesian Drive, and what a wonderful first week it has been!

This week PALS leaders have been outside at first nutrition break teaching students in Grades 1 to 3 to play, What time is it Mr. Wolf?, Noodle Tag, and Skipping Games. Our younger students are learning about following the rules of a game, taking turns and having fun with friends!

I wonder what games we’ll play next week? Students can look for PALS leaders in the red shirts to join in at a game every first nutrition break.
