Weekly Update March 24th, 2016 Hello Summerside Families! It is hard to believe we have just completed the Third Quarter of the School Year. First and foremost I want to wish our students a terrific spring break with their families and friends. I am proud of our students and staff's work ethic and how they have powered up in our classrooms with engaging academics right through dis- missal this Thursday. We maximized time engaged in meaningful academics heading into Spring Break. Information is included in this edition of the Summerside eCommunication regarding Vision 2025 and the Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 construction planning at West Clermont Schools. West Clermont will hold Community Conversations with District Superintendent Keith Kline over the next several weeks. The primary topic will be Phase 11 of the District's Facilities Plan which involves the replacement and renova- tion of several elementary buildings. The dates, times, and locations of the Commu- nity Conversations is included in this edition of the Summerside Elementary eCommunication with more de- tailed information about the Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 construction planning. West Clermont is on the move! We will return from Spring Vacation on Monday April 4th. Key dates and events have been added to the calen- dar that will help parents plan for the upcoming months of April and May at Summerside. I can guarantee you April and May will be chalked full of core academics in our classrooms. We will also have a robust set of after school student offerings, and a nice mix of after school family events. The Friday eCommunication and the Dis- trict/Summerside Website will keep you abreast of our key opportunities for students, staff, and families. Just a reminder for our students the PTO will be providing Ice Cream on Friday April 8th during noon lunch as a reward for our students reaching their Box Top collection goal. I would like to extend a Special thank you to our PTO President, Mrs. Amshoff, for the nice treats for our kids. In closing, have a terrific Spring Vacation. Our School will be closed over the Spring Vacation and will reopen for business on Monday April 4th. If you have an emergency and need to contact me during the Spring Vaca- tion do not hesitate to call me on my direct cell line at 513-373-5735 Mon-Sunday. Thank you for your teamwork and positive support! Life is good! Bob
