Last Thursday was Census day. We currently have

1363 students across 60 classrooms. This is down

from 1367 at the same time in 2018. Census day

data plays a large part in the funding allocation

that schools receive.

SCHOOL PROJECTS

Our Maintenance team consisting of Neville and

Gerrard have been completing a number of excit-

ing projects across the school lately. We have had

both sandpits topped up, new cabinets set up across the school and fantastic new turf that has

been laid at the Epping Views Kinder. Check out

the green lawn next time you walk past!

KITCHEN GARDEN

Our newest specialist subject is Kitchen Garden, a

subject involving cooking, food preparation, grow-

ing natural foods and learning about restaurant

expectations. It has been a hit amongst many of

our students. Classes are held in our Kitchen Gar-den room and our Vegetable Garden as students

grow and then prepare different edible items. You

may have studied Home Economics or Food Tech

at school in the past and this subject provides

similar experiences for our children. Parents wish-

ing to volunteer as an assistant in this subject

would be most welcome. Helen, Leeanne and Ro-

sie can be contacted via the office.
