Each class has nominated two class captains for term 3. Captains have the responsibility of reporting to me at our meeting two or three times during the term. We discuss their classroom, the yard and any thoughts and

ideas they have for improving our school.

Last week we received the results from our recent Student Attitude to School Survey. As you can see by these graphs we have a lot to celebrate. (The coloured section is the positive response and the dark line indicates where we were last year so in the eyes of the students we have continued to operate at a very high level). Well done to everyone! (Please contact the office if you would like to see a detailed report).

Year 5/6 News

Athletics All Year 5/6 students will be participating in Athletics training sessions each Tuesday after lunch. Students have begun collecting sprint times and long jump measurements to help them set goals for the next few weeks.

Healthy Lifestyles and Geography Inquiry Units We have already begun investigating different types of health and what services are available within our community. Later in the Term, students will be participating in a ‘Healthy Lifestyles Day’, where some local services will be coming in and run workshops. Geography has also begun, students will be completing a pre-assessment informing their teachers of what their understanding is of the World’s oceans, continents and countries.

Poetry Expert Mick Coventry Mick Coventry from Kyabram Bush Verse Group is coming in to announce the School Children's Poetry Reciting Competition 2019. He is introducing our Poetry Unit and will be giving our students a demonstration of a Bush Verse.

Girls Football The girls represented our College well this week placing third overall behind Echuca 208 and St Mary’s Echuca. The girls played amazingly for the whole day and displayed our school values. Special thanks to Jacob and John as well as Jemma. Best players were Bek Lawson, Hayley Liversidge and Grace Ryan-Roberts.

Secondary School Production - Hairspray Again we have been invited to watch the dedicated cast preform live Wednesday 31st, next week! A wonderful opportunity to see what theatre opportunities occur within our College.
