Dear Ortiz Parents,

We, at Ortiz Middle School, would like to welcome everyone back to a new 2012-2013 school

year. We are excited to start this year because we know that we will produce wonderful opportunities and memories

for out students during this year. There will be a change in our bell schedule this school year.

Our school day will begin 7:45 am and end at 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday. TheOrtiz community shared a lot of success this past school year. Below are a few academic accomplishments:

Additionally, here are a few changes for the upcoming year. Reminder that our school day will begin at 7:45 am and

end at 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday. We have included a bell schedule for your review. At Ortiz, we work hard

to keep a safe environment for all students and staff members. We have monthly drills that we practice and we do

perform random searches of classrooms. Our students and community are important and we work to practice

Safety. As the new school year begins, I would also like to emphasize the importance of good attendance.

Students should make every effort to be at school each day.

As our district continues to change, we at Ortiz Middle School will continue to strive to provide the best educational

opportunities for all of our students. We hope everyone has had a safe and restful summer. We will see students

back on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 7:45 am.
