WELCOMEWe are delighted to launch the details of our 2015 Lonsdale and IOOF Alliances conference in Cairns.

This year’s theme is celebrating 30 years; partnership, professionalism, community.

We have chosen the Pullman Cairns International as our conference venue. This luxurious iconic hotel unveils elegant, generously sized guest rooms, each featuring a private balcony and a harbour or lush mountain backdrop.

In developing this year’s program, we have worked hard to bring you an exciting line up of speakers, as well as some unique evening venues. Once again, our professional development program will cater for both our fi nancial planners and accountants; including keynote addresses from Tim Reid, founder and host of Australia’s #1 marketing podcast, Jim Stackpool founder of Strategic Consulting and Training and Major General Jim Molan, who will present on ethical leadership.

Further enhancing the overall program, you will have the opportunity to visit Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park and conclude the conference with an 80’s themed Gala dinner which will celebrate conference and Lonsdale’s 30th anniversary.

DELEGATE PACKAGE

Together with our business partners, we have heavily subsidised the cost of this year’s program to help make the Cairns experience accessible to all delegates. Your delegate fee will include meals, entertainment, organised activities, transfers (on conference dates) and conference program. The delegate fee does not include travel and/or fl ights to and from the conference.

$915 per person twin share (inc. GST)

$1,220 per person single room upgrade or sharing with partner (inc. GST)

Flights are not included as part of your delegate fee. Delegates need to make travel arrangements to Cairns airport. All major airlines have regular fl ights into/out of Cairns:

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

Transfers to and from the airport to the Pullman Cairns International are included in your delegate package if you arrive/depart Cairns on the conference dates (11/14 October) only. If you extend your stay and travel pre/post conference, cievents can arrange your airport transfers at your own cost or you can make your own arrangements. During registration you will be asked to provide your fl ight details.

We are holding accommodation at the Pullman Cairns International. This luxurious iconic hotel unveils elegant, generously sized guest rooms, each featuring a private balcony and a harbour or lush mountain backdrop. The hotel in centrally located in the CBD, conveniently located one block from the Reef Fleet Terminal and Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal. PARTNER LEISURE PROGRAMWe are pleased to offer an exciting partner leisure program for 2015. 2.00pm – 5.00pm Mossman Gorge Aboriginal Walk – Experience a truly unique eco cultural tour and join a local Aboriginal guide on a trek into the heart of the pristine rainforest. Be taken to Mossman Gorge and the Daintree Rainforest, the trail used by Kuku Yalaji Dreamtime Walks features cave painting and special sites, a traditional humpy, a creek side stop for a demonstration in the art of making paint, a range of bush tucker demonstrations as well as medicine plants and fruit. You will be taking in one of the most beautiful rainforests in the region.

Experience a traditional smoking ceremony, stories of the Kuku Yalanji culture and traditions, experienced indigenous guides, exclusive access to Kuku Yalanji land, a sacred ceremony site, soap and ochre paint making demonstration and afternoon tea.

7.00pm – 10.00pm Transfer to Salt House, situated at Marina Point, for your welcome function. Salt House is a unique dining, bar and entertainment venue offering a panorama of the ocean, marina and city on the waterfront in Cairns.

DAY TWO: Monday 12 October 2015

7.00am – 8.30am Breakfast at leisure at the Pullman Cairns International Coco’s Restaurant.

8.30am – 4.30pm The superb turquoise waters of the Great Barrier Reef await you for today’s exclusive Great Barrier Reef and Green Island excursion. You’ll transfer to TUSA 6, the newest vessel in Cairns exclusively for you, where you’ll cruise to the outer reef sites and have the opportunity to explore the best snorkelling The Great Barrier Reef has to offer.

You’ll also have the opportunity to visit Green Island, a beautiful coral bay which enjoys world acclaim as a tropical paradise on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. The island is a protected Marine Park which is readily identifi ed from the air by its emerald rainforest, surrounded by white sandy beaches and magnifi cent coral reefs. The marine life is abundant, including endless varieties of colourful fi sh, giant clams, shells, starfi sh, sea anemones, turtles and much more

7.00pm – 10.00pm Once again join your delegate partner for dinner tonight at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Founded more than 25 years ago, Tjapukai is Australia’s largest Indigenous cultural park. The Cultural Park has been built on traditional Tjapukai land in a beautiful rainforest setting to highlight the environment enjoyed by the Indigenous people of the Cairns Wet Tropics rainforest.

DAY THREE: Tuesday 13 October 2015

Activity option ONE

4.00am – 8.30am Hot Air Balloon: See the best of the Cairns Highlands by air with a hot air balloon fl ight, a once in a lifetime experience. The Atherton Tablelands provide perfect conditions for hot air ballooning and the view from the basket of rolling hills and winding streams is stunning. As the sun rises, pilots gently lift off and quietly glide the balloons over the Cairns Highlands.

8.30am – 9.30am Breakfast at leisure at the Pullman Cairns International Coco’s Restaurant.

9.30am – 12.00pm Free time.

12.00pm – 2.00pm Lunch activity.

Activity option TWO

7.00am – 8.30am Breakfast at leisure at the Pullman Cairns International Coco’s Restaurant.

8.30am – 10.30am Helicopter: Take off over the city of Cairns and track along the rainforest coastline, past False Cape and over to the jewel of the sea, Green Island. Be amazed by the incredible colours and formations of the reef below the sun-kissed Coral Sea. These are memories you will want to capture forever.

10.30am – 12.00pm Free time.

12.00pm – 2.00pm Lunch activity.

2.00pm – 4.00pm Come back together and refl ect on your time in Cairns with a Tropical high tea and Spa Treatment. The Pullman Cairns International is Cairns’ best Day Spa, a haven of tranquillity and serenity for you to enjoy the perfect spa experience. You will be called in groups to enjoy a private 30 minute massage that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.

4.00pm – 7.00pm Free time or attendance at the Conference close and lifestyle address by Major General Jim Molan.

7.00pm – 12.00am Transfer to the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal for the Conference Celebration Dinner. Located on the Cairns Waterfront and beautifully restored, this heritage listed wharf shed will be the perfect setting for this year’s Conference Celebration Dinner.
