The International Confer ence Center in Katowice is an e xceptional place on the

business event venue map in P oland. Opened in 20 15, i t stands out for its post-

industr ial aesthetics and func tional design, ser v ing as a venue for confer ences,

congr esses, e xhibit ions, trade fair s and shows. Able to accommodate 15,000 visitors ,

alongside the nearby Spodek Ar ena, it is one of the lar gest venues for confer ences,

e xhibit ions, and spor ts and enter tainment events in P oland. Welcome to the ICC.

Spodek is an e xceptional venue with a long histor y of hosting spor ts, enter tainment and

e xhibit ion events. Opened in 19 7 1, i t has become a permanent landmark on the map of

Katowice and one of the most r eadily r ecognized icons of P olish ar chitec tur e. For the past

45 year s, i t has ser ved as a venue for major events, such as concer ts by wor ld-famous

star s and impor tant World Championships . In r ecent year s, i t has at trac ted the absolutely

e x traor dinar y Intel Ex tr eme Masters , drawing droves of young people, all of whom at home in

its e x traor dinar y set ting. One of the upcoming highlights is the European Economic Congr ess ,

accompanied by the European Star t-up Days. Welcome to the Spodek!

Spor ts fans have eager ly par ticipated in World Championships in, e.g. men’s volleyball, ice

hockey, women’s handball, bodybuilding, weight li f t ing, acrobatic g ymnastics, World L eague

f inals in men’s volleyball, as well as the European Championships in wr estling, athletics,

men’s handball and women’s basketball.

In 20 16, the Spodek Ar ena hosted the 4th edit ion of the lar gest e-spor ts event, Intel Ex tr eme Masters . The

event at trac ts several hundr ed thousand gaming fans ever y year. For the duration of the event, the ar ena

turns into an e xceptional plat form, prov iding an e xcellent and magical set ting that simply elec tr if ies the

young and demanding par ticipants.

For the f ir st t ime in 20 16, the Spodek Ar ena will also ser ve as a venue for the lar ge European Economic

Congr ess . The hall of the Spodek will host the opening of an event that at trac ts mor e than 7,000 business

guests f rom Europe, Afr ica and A sia ever y year.

The Spodek Ar ena also ser ves as a venue for r egular trade fair s and e xhibit ions, such as: the K AT OW ICE

International Mining, Ener g y and Metallur g y Trade Fair, Profi Auto Show, Wedding Trade Fair, the

Tr easur es of the Ear th exhibition and the International Pur ebr ed Dogs Show.
