Childcare

If you have need of childcare, we have options available. For children aged birth - Pre-K we have people in place to take care of your children. You will find these age-graded rooms downstairs in our CLC Gym in rooms C104-C107. For ages K through 4th grade, we offer Children’s Church, which meets in room C200. Older children are encouraged to remain in the sanctuary during worship.

Sunday School

We have many Sunday School options available for you from age-graded

classes for children to both Co-Ed and Non Co-Ed classes for all age

groups of adults. You will find information throughout the building

about our different Sunday School classes. We’d love to have you pick

one and jump right in.

I want to thank you all for the cards and gifts that were given to me and the staff for Pastor Appreciation Day last week. My heart

was touched by each card I read as the Lord reminded me of how blessed I am to be a part of Pine Grove. The staff and I count it as a joy and privilege to minister in this wonderful church.

Please be in prayer for our Fall Festival outreach tonight. God has given us a wonderful opportunity to show His love to our community. I pray that people would see and feel the love of Jesus radiating out of each one of us. I pray that people would see that Pine Grove truly is a place to belong.

There are not enough words to express the appreciation for all of the food, cards, calls, texts and most of all (the most important) prayers spoken on my behalf. I asked you pray for minimal pain, and from what the doctor has said that is exactly what I have had. It is very painful but I know it would have been worse without the prayers! I still have a ways to go before it will be 100% so please keep praying! Thank you!

The Honduras Team is making plans to go back. The dates are July 17-23, 2018. There are 30 spots available. Sign up sheets are on the information tables.

Proposed 2018 Budget

The Finance Committee has prepared a budget recommendation for 2018.

Nov. 5th: Finance Committee will be in the choir room following the AM service to answer any questions

Nov. 12th: Church vote following the AM service and all questions need to be addressed before the voting date

The Personnel Committee is currently seeking a fill-in position for the Church Office. This is a part-time role that will be used on an as-needed basis to cover for extended illness and vacation coverage for the Church Secretary and Financial Secretary. This position will be required to support the functions of the Church Office by answering the phone, generating correspondence, running the bulletin, counting and depositing the offerings of the church. If you are interested in this position, please submit a resume’ to the Church Office or a member of the Personnel Committee by Nov. 19, 2017.

Personnel Committee Members: Michelle Baker, chairperson, Ben East, Tom Jolley, Tommy Minnix & Amy Chester.

The 2017-2018 Personnel Committee is now in place and feels that we now have an opportunity to get a clear understanding of the needs and concerns of the church body. We would like to ask the church members to pray for our current staff and the programs being offered in the church then bring forth your suggestions and concerns to help us continue to grow. The committee will be available on Sunday November 12th immediately following the church service in room C202 across from the elevator. Please feel free to stop by and speak with us personally or if you do not feel comfortable in this type of setting please contact one of the members. Once we have the member feedback we will combine the results and share with the staff. No names will be used – only the subjects/ideas will be discussed. We are excited about where the Lord is taking Pine Grove Baptist Church and want to ensure we give everyone a voice. Our staff is excited about the ideas and opportunities for ministry that will come from this event.
