Simple Tips to Prevent FallsFalls put you at risk of serious

injury. Fall prevention may notseem like a lively topic, but it’simportant. As you get older, physical changes and healthconditions, and sometimes themedications used to treat those, make falls more likely. Falls are aleading cause of injury amongolder adults.

• Keep moving. Physicalactivity with your doctor’sOK can go a long way towardfall prevention.

• Wear sensible shoes. Wearproperly fitting, sturdy shoeswith non skid soles.

• Remove home hazards. Lookaround your room. Removeloose rugs from your room.Use non-slip mats in yourshower.

• Light up your living space.Place night lights in yourbedroom, bathroom andhallways.
