Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle
What is Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle?
“It is a program of all the departments in the church that integrates revival and reformation in the life experiences of church members as they actively involve in evangelism“
Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle
What is Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle?
It is an evangelism approach which will be owned, committed and participated by all SDA members in SSD Territory, with the hope and prayer that by doing so, Revival & Reformation be the life experience of church members as they actively involved in care (small) group ministries.
Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle
What is Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle?
It is a comprehensive biblical view of evangelism as a process (beyond the evangelism-as-event model) as follows:
1. Evangelistic life-style must be outlined and modelled attractively and contagiously.
2. Program that nurtures church members to grow strong in the faith and to enable them to take part in witnessing.
3. Train members for service in order to fulfil the mission of the church.
What is Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle?
It is a comprehensive biblical view of evangelism as a process
The farmer analogy:
1. Clearing the farmland
2. Preparing the soil/ploughing
3. Planting of the seeds
4. Caring the plants/weeding/fertilizer
5. Harvest and Storage
The cycle is repeated over again
Evangelism is a process and not an event
INTEGRATED EVANGELISM LIFESTYLE
What is Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle?
It is a comprehensive biblical view of evangelism as a process
Luke 9:52
And he sent messengers on ahead, who went into a Samaritan village to get things ready for him;
Luke 10:1
1 “After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.
Ground work is paramount important to successful evangelism
INTEGRATED EVANGELISM LIFESTYLE
1. Evangelism as a Lifestyle! Cultivate a harvest mentality
Each soul a candidate for heaven
Operation “Andrew” Always on a look for
souls/interests to bring to Jesus Start with family and relatives Neighbors and friends
Dorcas mentality Reaching out to all strata of
society Community services – reach out to
the poor and needy
Five Loaves and Two Fishes concept Best way to multiply yourself is to
give away what you have – time, talent, money and etc.

Cultivate a Harvest Mentality
2. Nurturing Members to Grow in Faith and Witness!
Faith grow through witnessing Victories won through struggle
– “They overcome him through the blood of the lamb and the testimonies of Jesus Christ.” Our testimonies. Our testimonies confirm our faith
Races won through constant practices and submission to rules
Strength is the result of activities – putting ourselves under stress of labor and burden.
INTEGRATED EVANGELISM LIFESTYLE
Nurturing Members to Grow in Faith and to Witness
3. Members Fulfilling the Mission of the Church!
“Every Christian a Missionary.” “Every Adventist Home – a
Home of Hope and Healing.” “Every Church an Evangelistic
Center” “Every Church Institution a
Caring Center.” Practice the concept of “loving
thy neighbor as thyself.” “Go ye therefore . . .” inclusive
of everyone.

Members Involvement in Fulfilling the Mission of the Church
SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS
1. OUR ENVIRONMENTa) In most of our fields the
evangelistic approach as regular or irregular events without prior personal contact.
b) Our societies are secular, often anti-institutional and post-modern.
c) Churches are often seen as almost irrelevant as Institutions of the past, although people seem to sense more “spiritual needs”
INTEGRATED EVANGELISM LIFESTYLE
Why We Need Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle?
SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS
2. OUR CHURCHESa) We have all the elements of the
post-modern society in our own church.
b) Church members have their individual “full program” into which other “events” must be carefully planned.
INTEGRATED EVANGELISM LIFESTYLE
Why We Need Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle?
SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS
2. OUR CHURCHESc) The idea of professionalism has
taken over, which means:
i. Evangelism is for the “professionals” who are paid for their task
ii. This includes other elements used in evangelism: i.e. music; interview, etc
iii. Evangelism is too big for the local scene: so let the media-centre, or the Bible
Correspondence Schools do it.
INTEGRATED EVANGELISM LIFESTYLE
Why We Need Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle?
SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS
2. OUR CHURCHESd) Evangelism is being largely seen as
a series of doctrinal lectures given by professionals. Its contents are well known and seem to have little relevance to everyday life.
e) Church events (other than Sabbath morning) are not necessarily on the priority list.
INTEGRATED EVANGELISM LIFESTYLE
Why We Need Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle?
SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS
2. OUR CHURCHESf) Church members seem to have few
links between their weekly “church-life” on Sabbath morning and their life-context during the week (departmentalised life).

3. OUR MISSIONS, UNIONS, AND DIVISION
INTEGRATED EVANGELISM LIFESTYLE
Why We Need Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle?
The departmental system does not seem to filter through as an integrated system.
The word “integration” to mean to “work together” “put together” “synergize” “incorporate” – in short to focus our aim and objective toward achieving one common goal.
WHAT IS OUR COMMON GOAL?

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS1. The Mission of the Church
must be and must be seen central in the overall operation of the Church (Finance, personnel, issues, theology, etc)
INTEGRATED EVANGELISM LIFESTYLE
POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS2. New definition and
adequate communication of a more comprehensive biblical view of evangelism as a process instead of as events:1. Evangelism as life-style
must be outlined and modelled attractively and contagiously
2. Program that nurtures church members to grow strong in the faith and to enable them to take part in witnessing
3. Train members for service in order to fulfil the mission of the church
INTEGRATED EVANGELISM LIFESTYLE
POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS3. The departments of the
church on every level must find ways to present an integrated approach, rather than their own individual agenda which often seem to be in competition with each other and a waste of the resources of the church.
