Data Driven Counseling
What do you HOPE will be different about next year?

● “I hope to have less stress, better connections with my teacher and more effort from myself.”
● “I hope I will know to take the entire year seriously and not just second semester.”
What do you HOPE will be different about next year?
● “I hope I will have my feet under me a bit more. I'm also excited to not be a freshman!”
● “I hope that I will have a better understanding of who I am and who I want to be.”
● “I hope my studying habits will be different next year and being more open to others/making more friends.”

SAT & ACT
Subject Tests
Wondering which tests to take? ✓ The SAT Subject Tests that you take
should be based on your interests and
academic strengths. The tests are a
great way to indicate interest in specific
majors or programs of study (ex.pre-med,
engineering cultural studies).
✓ You should also consider whether the
colleges that you’re interested in require
or recommend Subject Tests.

In the college admissions world, if it
says “Recommended” -Do It.
20 Subject Tests Across 5 Subject Areas

High School Transcript
Saint Francis transcript is the permanent academic record reflecting the academic achievement of the student
o The transcript is the most important part of the college application
Official SFHS transcript calculates weighted and unweighted GPA
Private/out-of-state public colleges look at weighted GPA at end of the 6th semester
UC/CSU calculate their own GPA based on 4 semesters (Grades 10-11)

Finding the Balance
While academics are important, colleges want to have well-rounded, healthy students that love to learn.
o Balance can only be achieved when you (and your family) are realistic with current goals and habits.
