For the MYC Gymnastic Club, the space to perform is already just what they need – it’s the space to seat the loyal parents and friends of the gymnasts that posed the problem.MYC contacted Select Concepts with the brief to create tiered seating for 180 people on a mezzanine viewing area. The major requirement was to ensure all 180 spectators would have a clear uninterrupted view of the gym floor and the gymnasts.

These requirements were achieved with the installation of a QUATTRO Tiered Seating Riser System late in August. MYC Gymnastics Representative Bronwyn Sanford sent us this message – “The seats do look terrific and we had very happy parents on Sunday at our Club Championships.”The QUATTRO Tiered Seating riser is 9 metres wide X 4 metres deep, with each of the 5 seating levels measuring 800mm deep. Spectator comfort and noise absorption is provided by easy care marine grade carpet covered seating decks. Each deck is fully enclosed with a solid front fascia providing an added safety aspect to prevent children and small objects falling through. Infilled safety handrails are secured at

the rear of the top podium deck, and MYC have organised custom designed glass balustrade safety handrails for each vertical side. Modular steps are secured to the centre of each row allowing easy access to the higher levels for young and old alike. Each podium deck is designed to be deep enough for people to be comfortably seated plus ensure there is room for the feet of the spectators in the row behind them. The five 400mm high podium risers give a clear line of vision to the gym floor below so everyone has
