National Sea Scout Program Accomplishments 2013-2014• Engaged National Supply in providing

new items with Sea Scout logo and new items for New Century Uniform

• Added a Wiki to our Sea Scout Website

• Created 6 new online modules to support Sea Scout Adult Leader Basic Training

• Signed new USCG Auxiliary MOU for providing letter to new Quartermasters for their achievement

National Sea Scout Program Accomplishments 2013-2014• Conducted a youth survey to learn of the

needs and interests of our youth

• United States Power Squadrons created new volunteer position with Districts and Squadrons for a Sea Scout liaison person to support relationships between USPS and Sea Scouts

• Prepared our program for the next century by expanding the program into paddlesports

Building to Teach Workshop

• 3 day hands on workshop at SUNY Maritime March 2014

• 8 middle/high school educators and 12 Sea Scout adult leaders brought together

TASK FORCES FORMED FALL 2013• Develop a paddlesports program of emphasis to

engage members in implementation and integration of this program.

• Advancement requirements – do they match what a youth needs to go into one of three tracks (Maritime career, military career, or recreational boating as a hobby)?

• STEM initiatives – evaluate what we offer to engage our youth in the offerings of science, technology, engineering and math programs.
