The  par.cipants  will  be  able  to:  •  Navigate  the  SimPad  features.    •  Run  a  scenario  in  the  Manual  Mode  using  a  Theme.  

•  Run  an  Automa.c  Mode  preprogrammed  scenario  using  the  SimPad.  

•  Create  a  theme  using  the  Theme  Editor  •  Set  up  the  SimPad  System  on  a  VitalSim  simulator.

•  All  paAent  monitors  can  display:    

ü  Heart  Rate  ü  ECG  (including  choice  of  lead  views)  ü  SpO2  ü  Blood  Pressure  ü  Respira.on  Rate  ü  Temperature  ü  EtCO2    ü  12  lead  

2  way  communicaAon  through  the  manikin  (headset  and  microphone  are  op.onal  items)  

 

•  A headset can connect to SimPad to create two-way communication between the operator and the simulator and surroundings.

•  Plug an analogue headset (4 pin jack) into the SimPad. The microphone of the headset will now be routed to the manikin. If a microphone is connected to the Link Box, the sounds from microphone will be routed to the headset.

•  The yellow button on the side of the SimPad enables and disables speech and listening alternatively, via the headset.

•  The headset output on the Link Box duplicates the sound to the manikin. It can be used to improve the sound by adding additional speakers around the manikin.

•  Onsite  Training  at  Customer  site  by  a  Laerdal  Clinical  Educator.  Class  limit  is  8  learners  for  this  1  day  course.    –  IntegraAng  SimPad  The  course  will  provide  an  orienta.on  to  both  the  SimPad  and  your  manikin/simulator.      

–  SimDesigner  This  course  will  provide  instruc.on  on  how  to  plan,  program  and  execute  scenarios  (Automa.c  Mode)  with  the  use  of  SimDesigner.
