A Day at the Aquarium

The Religious Education Middle School had a great time at the Aquarium. It all

started with a beautiful prayer, directions from the catechists and a firm command to take care of each other. Everyone enjoyed the Dolphin Show, some of us

were a bit concern for the splash and sat in the safe zone. The brave ones enjoyed the dolphins’ splashes and got soaked.

We ended up the day going to the 4:30pm Mass and thanking God for such

a wonderful day. Thanks to our catechists, Audree and Hugo for their unlimited love, understanding and

patience towards our SPOTC Youth! and thanks to the Vaughn Family for the

tickets to the Aquarium!

DOMINGO DE PASCUA

“ESTE ES EL DÍA QUE HIZO EL SEÑOR” (Salmo 117,24).

“ Este es el día en que Cristo, nuestra Pascua, ha sido inmo-

lado” (Prefacio).

¡He aquí! Mis Hermanos, dos pensamientos que DEBEN estar

presente en nuestro corazón a lo largo de toda nuestra vida y

de un modo especial en la llamada cincuentena pascual, que

termina con Pentecostés. ¿Por qué? Porque en ese misterio de

Cristo se fundamenta nuestra vida Cristiana.

“Este es el Misterio de la Fe”. Jesús ha resucitado y debemos

proclamarlo. Esto, implica un COMPROMISO. El compromiso

pascal: decir que Jesús ha resucitado y esta vivo entre no-

sotros. En la medida que esta certeza está en nosotros, como

una luz en nuestra vida, eso nos debe llevar a proclamarlo

como un fuego ‘interior’ que nos quema.

Mis hermanos, vivamos la Pascua como algo propio y esto

nos llevará a un cambio radical en nuestra vida.

Otra reflexión que quisiera compartir es sobre la Eucaristía

o Comunión. El Jueves Santo, haciamos memoria del Primer

Jueves Santo de la Historia. En aquella cena en la que Jesús

instituyó o creo la Eucaristía. Es importante tener una visión

clara de este misterio. Por eso, quiero y siento la necesidad de

compartir ésta reflexión: LA ESPIRITUALIDAD DE LA EU-

CARISTÍA. ¿Qué misterio encierra? ¿Qué nos quiere trans-

mitir? ¿A dónde nos quiere llevar? La espiritualidad de la Eu-

caristía la encontramos en las palabras de Jesús que podemos

resumirlas en tres palabras: Dar, Alimentar, Hacer Memoria.

Dar: Jesús se dá y se dá TODO. Quiere ser uno con no-

sotros. Quiere identificarse con cada uno. Es el amor de Cristo

que no tiene barreras. Es la experiencia que pudo vivir el

apostol Pablo cuando dijo: “¡Vivo yo, mas no Yo, es Cristo

que vive en mi!”.

Alimentar: El quiere ser nuestro alimento, nuestra fuerza. Por

este alimento se logra la plena identificación con Cristo. Es la

comun-unión con El. Es él, el que nos transforma en él. Esto

nos lleva a ‘ser hombres eucarísticos’. Hombres y mujeres que

viven en acción de Gracias, porque son conscientes de ese

gran regalo: Cristo en mi.

Hacer memoria: Por y para esto quiere estar Cristo en no-

sotros. El quiere llegar a todos los hombres por mediación

nuestra. Quiere que su Buena Nueva sea conocida y vivida

por todos los hombres. Todo aquel que quiere ser Evangeliza-

do; que quiere ser un testigo vivo de Cristo; que quiere vivir la

verdadera comunidad cristiana, no puede menos que alimen-

tarse del Pan de Vida y encontrar aquí la razón de su existir

Cristiano.

Los invito, mis Hermanos, a que pongan todo su esfuerzo

para que esto sea una realidad en vuestra vida. MUY FELICES

PASCUAS!!!

Un día en el Acuario: La Escuela Mediana de Educa-

ción Religiosa paso momentos de unión y diversión en el

Acuario. Todo comenzó con una hermosa oración, las ins-

trucciones de los catequistas y un firme mandato de cuidar

el uno del otro. Todos disfrutamos del espectáculo de los

delfines, algunos de nosotros nos preocupamos un poco

por que no queríamos que los delfines nos mojen y nos

sentamos en la zona segura. Los valientes disfrutaron de las

salpicaduras de los delfines y se empaparon. Terminamos el

día asistiendo a Misa de 4:30 pm y agradeciendo a Dios

por un día tan maravilloso. Gracias a nuestros catequistas

Audree y Hugo por su ilimitado cariño, comprensión y

paciencia hacia nuestra juventud! Y gracias a la familia

Vaughn por los boletos para el acuario! (ver foto-pg. 3)

Segunda Colecta para los Seminaristas de la Arquidiócesis: Nuestra segunda colecta de hoy está destinada a los semi-

naristas de la Arquidiócesis de Atlanta. Hemos sido bende-

cidos con muchas vocaciones sacerdotales, y sus oraciones

y generosas ofrendas de hoy ayudan a más de 50 hombres

que en este momento se están preparando para servir en

sacerdocio al norte de Georgia en un futuro. MUCHAS GRACIAS.
