• National Coastal Observation System Workshop– Sponsored by NSW DECCW, IMOS, OPSAG– Sydney (SIMS), August 2010
• OPSAG Coastal Observing System working group– Discussions commenced October 2010– IMOS workshop proposal (ACOMO) approved March 2012
National synergies
• IMOS is one component of the national research infrastructure
• We have the opportunity to generate synergies by partnering with other components
• Particularly in eResearch– NCI, NeCTAR, ANDS, RDSI
• also with TERN, ALA, AuSCOPE...
