Report runs and concerns letters

At the beginning of each half term reports are issued to students in order to take home. This will now include the new Bacons levels (1 to 9).

Please ask to see them otherwise they will get left at the bottom of a school bag!!!

There is also an acknowledgement slip to return to the tutor.

This is so they know you have seen it and are kept up to date with your son/daughters progress at school.

This allows us to highlight exemplary performance in attendance, punctuality, effort, conduct or deadlines e.g. homework completed on time.

Detentions

If a student obtains a detention with a teacher or tutor they will often have to do it on the same day they receive it. (A note is placed in a student’s planner).

If they do not attend this or the sanction is more severe they will receive a 1 hour detention on a separate day. (Phone calls or letters home take place to inform the parent/guardian).

If they fail to attend this, they will be placed into a Senior Leadership Team (SLT) 2 hour detention on the Friday. (Phone calls or letters home take place to inform the parent/guardian).

If your child is in detention they are expected to attend.

If a student consistently misses SLT detentions they will be placed into a 3 hour Saturday detention.
