What to look for• Tune it - put tension on the neck and bridge • Bridge - not lifting off body • Tuning Pegs - not loose; smooth action • Neck - check for sharp frets • Play every note on the neck; no buzz • Look inside for glue drips; poor workmanship

Blue moon You saw me standing alone Without a dream in my heart Without a love of my own
Blue moon You knew just what I was there for You heard me saying a prayer for
2 Bars Someone I really could care for
And then there suddenly appeared before me The only one my heart could ever hold
I heard somebody whisper please adore me And when I looked the moon had turned to gold
Blue moon Now I'm no longer alone Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

Up on the roof Geffin/KingStrum Pattern D-DU-UDU
When this old world starts getting me down And people are just too much for me to face
I climb way up to the top of the stairs And all my cares just drift right into space
On the roof it's peaceful as can be And there the world below can't bother me Let me tell you now
When I come home feelin' tired and beat I go up where the air is fresh and sweet
I get away from the hustling crowds And all that rat race noise down in the street
On the roof's the only place I know Where you just have to wish to make it so up on the roof
At night the stars put on a show for free And darling, you can share it all with me I keepa telling you
That right smack dab in the middle of town I found a paradise that's trouble-proof
So if this world starts getting you down There's room enough for two, up on the roof
Up on the roof, Up on the roof, let ring

Margaritaville by J Buffet Strum Pattern D-DU-UDU
Nibblin’ on sponge cake, watchin’ the sun bake, All of those tourists covered with oil,
Strummin’ my four-string, on my front porch swing,Smell those shrimp, they’re beginning to boil
I don’t know the reason,I stay here all season, Nothin’ is sure but this brand new ta-too,
But it’s a real beauty, a Mexican cutie, How it got here, I haven’t a clue Chorus
I blew out my flip-flop, stepped on a pop-top,Cut my heel, had to cruise on back home,
But there’s booze in the blender, and soon it will render,That frozen concoction that helps me hang on

3/4 Time by Tony Joe White 1 2 3 Strum Pattern d- u- u vamp on C
I like enchilados and old eldorad0s that shine My old fender guitar and songs and women and wine
They say that I'm livin' too fast but I feel fine And I just keep on easin' along in 3/4 time
Sometimes I get sideways and stay up all night writin' songs
I know it ain't healthy but somehow I keep goin' on
I write what I feel and I don't give a damn if it rhymes Just give me a C chord and play it in 3/4 time
Well, it's a big old world and we all have to live our lives
And one thing's for sure, ain't none of us gonna get out alive
So while I'm still kickin', I'm gonna keep pickin' my tunes
I like what I'm doin' and I hope it don't end too soon
'Cause all of my life there's one thing I keep hopin' to find A woman who likes to make love in 3/4 time
(It might be nice, you know)
