Attendance Information
Students allowed in the building at 8:25. Tardy Bell rings at 8:40.
Students MUST be walked into the school and signed in starting at 8:40.
Call home after 3x tardy and letter after 5 absences. Official state record tied to funding.
Please submit extended absence requests for vacations.

Important Acronyms
AR = Accelerated Reader Students read books they select based on their
interests and reading level. They earn points toward their 9-week goal by passing a computer test after reading their selected book. Students who meet their goal are rewarded with an AR party and AR BragTag
Important Acronyms
STAR – R and STAR- M On-line testing in reading and math that tells us if
the student’s reading and math skills are within their grade level band. Also provides specific feedback to help student improve their skills.
RIMP = Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plan A plan specifically written by a reading tutor and
classroom teacher to describe the plan they developed to improve reading for students who are indentified under the Third Grade Reading Guarantee

No flip-flops or high heels please! Safety concern!
No hats – except for special days
Electronics Policy
Cell phones Off and in a student’s book bag during the
school day Will require parent pick-up if policy is violated
