Check/register your child/ren in at our kiosk on the main floor prior to the service. During this season, please take your children to the Children Chapel or the Small Social Hall and pick them up after the service. 0-3yrs: Currently childcare is unavailable and need to remain with their parents during the worship service. 3yrs-5th Grade: The kids begin their experience in ‘big church’ and then go to Kids Quest in the Small Social Hall or Children’s Chapel, on the lower level. From rock layers to fossils to lions to stars, this fascinating film will challenge and change the way you see the world. Led by Ward Van Dyke Gideon a class for women on Sundays at 11 am in the Large Social Hall. Through a look at the life of Gideon, you can discover that in- stead of ignoring, neglecting, or trying to escape your weaknesses, you can see them as the gifts, given specifically and strategically by God to unlock the door of God's strength. Led by Patti Johnson. Kingdom Man a class for men on Sundays at 11 am in the Small Social Hall. Kingdom Man challenges and equips men to fully under- stand their position under God as well as their position over what God has given them. Led by Pastor Bob. Life Groups Would you like to be a part of a small loving commu- nity committed to loving each other, growing deeper in Christ, praying and caring for each other all in the warmth of a home? We have Six Life Groups that are open to anyone. MenConnect is studying the Book of Amos on Tuesdays at 6:30 am in the Large Social Hall. Helping men/women become disciples of Jesus Christ by loving, learning and living the Word in the context of loving, accountable relationships. Led by Pastor Bob. For more information contact the Church Office: [email protected]. Kadens Kloset is always accepting gen- tly loved children’s clothing in all sizes for foster/adopted children. Donations can be dropped off at the church office. Volunteers are welcome to help in the closet. For more info contact Jamie Chapman. Food Shelf We collect donations for the Food Shelf the 1st Sun- day of the month. They would appreciate Monetary Donations. Operation Christmas Child continues to gather items for boxes year-round. We do this so that when it comes time to pack them in Novem- ber, most gifts are ready. We’re focusing on boy’s toys (balls, cars, yo-yo’s, Legos, small plastic ani- mals, etc.). Enjoy shopping for items yourself or donate $1 to our jar and we’ll do the shopping! See our table in the lobby. Thanks for ongoing support of our Kids Quest kids as we learn to serve through giving. Please let us know so we can cover you in prayer and uphold you during the difficult times by filling out the welcome card in the pews or email- ing Shalene at [email protected]. Pray for: Healing and strength for Judy Nikkel as she recovers from back surgery. Rejoice that her surgery went well and has returned home. Velma Bogaard as she has chemotherapy on August 3 & 4. Congratulations to Alan Roorda as he just celebrated the 46th anni- versary of his kidney transplant, received from his brother Jim, Au- gust 1, 1974. Save the Date! Wednesday Night Kids Quest with GEMS, Cadets & Squires will start back up on Wednesday, September, 2. Piecemakers/Quilters meet Tuesday, August 18 at 9 am in the Large Social Hall. Please join us for fun and fellowship. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Weighted Blankets - Join us Tuesday, August 25 at 9 am for coffee in the Large Social Hall. Afterward we will proceed to the quilt-ing room to work on weighted blankets that are donated to kids & adults.
