Green Head

Green Head is known for its beautiful coastline, fishing, wildflowers and sea lions.

Mornings in Green Head are spent swimming at Dynamite Bay or at one of our other beautiful beaches, boating out to collect crayfish or enjoying a walk along the walk trail from Morphett Park to South Bay.

At the jetty, visitors to our town can see the professional lobster fishermen bringing in and unloading their catch. The windy afternoons are ideal for windsurfing and Point Louise is a popular surf break for locals.

During the cooler winter months holiday makers can enjoy the eco-tourism of the region. It’s just a short drive to Mt Lesueur National Park, where beautiful wildflowers are abundant from July each year.

Enjoy the beautiful parks around Green Head, a picnic or sit back and watch the sun set over the Indian Ocean from one of the several lookouts located in the area. For the more active, tee off for 18 holes of golf, lawn bowls or maybe a game of tennis. Children can make use of the playgrounds at Morphett and Cliff Parks or hang out at the Skate Park.
