The St Vincent dePaul Society is an outreach ministry dedicated to helping those in need. They count on your do-nation to help our neighbors with utility bills, rent, tempo-rary housing, food donations, furniture, and transportation. HOLY REDEEMER FOOD FESTA Even though our Annual Bazaar has been cancelled for this year, we are having a special Holy Redeemer Food Festa featuring some of our the favorite and famous foods from our bazaar. This event will take place on Sunday, August 4 from 12-4. What a wonderful opportunity for all to reunite in community, friendship, and fellowship. Don’t bother cooking that day because we’ll have Eggplant, Hot or Sweet Sausage and Meatball Sandwiches, Pizza Greens, Shells & Meatballs, Red or White Pizza (whole or by the slice), a complete Lamb Dinner and a Bake Sale!!! Eat in or take out. Looking forward to dining with you.

The picnic committee of our parish grouping continues to plan for the first annual com-ing together church picnic. This event will take place at the Brady's Run Lodge on September 1st, from

2:00 -7:00 pm. We are hoping to get an approximate number of those attending the picnic so we are asking you to sign up on the sheet in the back of the church. This will allow us to provide plenty of food and drink for everyone. Additionally, if anyone would like to volunteer the day of the picnic please notify Janet at Holy Family Parish. 724-847-3538. CATHOLICISM SERIES

You think you know everything about your Catholic faith, but there’s always something new to learn. Father Bob is presenting Bishop Barron’s Catholicism Se-ries Tuesdays in July. It will run for four weeks, July 9, 16, 23 and 30, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Cecilia’s. It’s an 8 week series and we will schedule the final four weeks in the fall.

Registrations forms were sent home with your child. Please get your form in early so we may prepare for the 2019-20 CCD year. You may mail it, throw it in the mail slot at the Rectory, or put it in the offering basket at any church. Please get your forms into the office ASAP! Communion pictures are here! Dear Parishioners,

Welcome to Fr. Howard Campbell, our Regional Vicar, who is visiting St. Felix today for the 11:00 a.m. Mass.

Our V.B.S. Programs continue this week. Saints Peter and Paul is in the morning and St. Felix is in the evening. Thanks to the many volunteers who make these programs possible. It’s really quite wonderful.

Bishop Robert Baron, auxiliary Bishop of Los Ange-les, is the vision and author of the Catholicism Series that we are running on Tuesday evenings after the 7:00 p.m. Mass at St. Cecilia for four weeks this summer. This Tuesday is week 3.

Bishop Baron has also written a small, very readable book as a response to the sexual abuse scandal that has so shattered the faith of many. It is called “A Letter to a Suffer-ing Church”. We have ordered a bunch of copies for anyone who might be interested or who have family members who would benefit from Bishop Baron’s healing perspective. When the books arrive, they will be available in all our churches.

There are some great Saints on the calendar this week: Monday, July 22 St. Mary Magdalene, the Apostle

to the Apostles, who first heard the news of the Resurrection.

Thursday, July 25 St. James the Apostle, brother of John and witness to all the major events of Jesus’ ministry. His tomb is the focus of the walking pilgrimages in Spain.

Friday, July 26 is “Grandparent’s Day”, the feast of St. Joachim and Anne who, although not mentioned in the scriptures, tradition tells us that they were the parents of Mary and the grandparents of Jesus.
