Many congratulations on your engagement! What an exciting time it must be for you. Thank you for your interest in Iscoyd Park as a possible venue for your wedding.

Located on the Wales / Shropshire / Cheshire border, Iscoyd is still very much a family home and as such has a different feel to a hotel.

Exclusive hire is offered on a one, two or three day basis depending on your requirements. We can sleep up to 18 adults on site and 8 more in an estate cottage a few minutes away. We have a choice of two licensed ceremony rooms and there is also the option of getting married at St Mary’s Whitewell which is located a few minutes’ drive from the house.

You will be helped in all aspects of your wedding preparations by our friendly and flexible team, from the moment you book to the running of the day itself. This exciting journey will consist of various meetings here at Iscoyd and we will all work together to produce an itinerary which our staff will follow in order to deliver the day you have dreamed of.

We want you to feel that Iscoyd is yours for the time you have it. The homely feel will put you and all your guests at ease so that you can all concentrate on celebrating what will be one of the most amazing days of your life!

This option gives you and your guests exclusive use of Iscoyd Park. You will take possession of Iscoyd Park at 2pm the day preceding your wedding and have it on an exclusive basis until 4pm the day after your wedding.

The three-day accommodation includes the beautiful Bridal Suite, Foxglove and Green Room suites in the main house, and the two Stable Rooms and self-catering Laundry Cottage. This option not only gives you the chance to have a dinner the night before your wedding, as in the two-day option, but also a brunch, lunch or BBQ the day after your wedding – a fantastic time to re-live the day and see your favorite guests again under more relaxed circumstances!

This gives you and your party exclusive use of Iscoyd Park and its gardens from 12 midday of the day of the wedding until 10am the following morning. The hire price includes the Marquee and stunning Bridal Suite for the night of your wedding.

The two-day hire will give you and your party exclusive use of Iscoyd Park and gardens from 2pm the day preceding your wedding until 10am the day after your wedding. Included in the price, for both nights of your stay, are the Bridal Suite, Foxglove Room and Green Room suites in the main house, the two Stable Rooms and the self-catering Laundry Cottage.

If you wish, you can have a dinner the night before your wedding. Many find this an ideal time for extended members of the bride and groom’s families to get to know each other before the big day. It also allows you to catch up with those friends and relations that are closest to you in a relaxed atmosphere – something that can be more difficult to do on the day itself!

Iscoyd Park is a beautiful red brick Georgian House dating back to 1737. It has been the much-loved family home of the Godsal family who bought it in 1843.

The house is situated in its own private 18th century parkland which usually has cattle or sheep grazing on it and has the unusual addition of its own cricket pitch and pavilion. As you drive up the long drive towards the house, you or your wedding guests will feel that this is a hidden gem – romantic, private, impressive and for this occasion… all yours!

Iscoyd Park is perfect for a winter wedding. In snow and frost the house and Park looks spectacular from the outside. Big, open log fires, lots of candles, and specially designed lighting all help to create a cosy and romantic atmosphere whatever the weather outside.

The Bridal Suite is where the excitement starts! Bathed in light and beautifully decorated, this room has a wonderfully calming feel.

It is a very large room with a huge and magnificent bathroom and great views over the parkland and formal gardens. It is large enough to comfortably accommodate bridesmaids, photographers, make-up and hair stylists and all those helping you to make this day so special. The beautiful, luxurious decoration and spectacular mirrors provide a wonderful backdrop for fantastic photographs of you getting ready for the rest of the day ahead.

ceremony

This room is licensed for civil ceremonies and can hold up to 130 people. It is church- like in feel with its huge glass doors and beautiful views onto the gardens.

On a beautiful summer’s day the bride can make her entrance from the garden but whatever the weather outside, the aisle is long and the entrance is magnificent!

The Garden Room has such an uplifting atmosphere. The huge glass doors and windows mean it is bathed in light. The beautiful Portland stone floors and light wall colours mean that each bride can make the space her own with her choices of flowers, candles and decoration.

The main room is connected by two large arches to a smaller side room. This is the perfect place for a string quartet, or whatever musicians you choose, to play during your wedding ceremony. If you do not have live music we have a Bose music system which can play your choice of recorded music. Either way, the acoustics in this room are perfect for wedding music.

The second licensed room is the Drawing Room which can be used for weddings of up to 60 people.

Typical of every room at Iscoyd, the Drawing Room is characterised by huge windows and magnificent views to the gardens and park. This room – which is also great for a dinner the night before the wedding – is both stylish and intimate, with an open fire, antique paintings hanging on the walls and fabulous wooden flooring. This Drawing Room works equally well in both winter and summer.

For those who would like to get married in a beautiful church; St Mary’s Church, Whitewell is situated in stunning countryside on the edge of the estate and can seat up to 150 people.

There are certain criteria that need to be met in order for couples to marry in the church which will be explained to you by the rector.

After the ceremony you and your guests will be met by our staff who will be laden with drinks to help you, your families and your friends to celebrate your marriage.

Safe in the knowledge that your guests are being extremely well looked after, you can make the most of the house and gardens with your photographer. If you are having a winter wedding or the weather prevents outside shots, we have lots of great places for photos within the house.

There is much to entertain your guests during the reception, from croquet on the lawn to exploring the beautiful gardens. Whether the reception takes place inside or out, the feeling is always informal and relaxed.

The permanent Marquee can comfortably seat up to 150 for the wedding feast!

The heating is digitally controlled and wonderfully warm, even in the coldest winter months. It is attached to the Garden Room by a pagoda. This makes it feel like an extension to the house – an extra room rather than a separate space. It also means that if the weather is bad there is no need to go outside. However, if it is a beautifully sunny day the sides can come down and the connection to the garden is even more open.

The Marquee is lit with beautiful chandeliers and uplighters, and there is LED back-lighting under the lining in the ceiling. This means the Marquee can be washed with any colour you choose and there are tiny pea lights in the roof lining which give the effect of hundreds of little stars shining down on you. The lighting is stunning and can give the Marquee any atmosphere you want, romantic, funky or dramatic.

The pagoda or Chinese hat which connects the Marquee to the house is furnished with sofas and little bar tables. It serves perfectly as a chilling out space, where your guests can have a break from the dancing!

Wherever you choose to have your wedding feast, the dancing and celebrating will continue in the Garden Room.

While you are eating we will have laid the all-white dance floor, your band or DJ would have the music set up, and the stunning LED lighting will have transformed the garden room into a fantastic place to party.

We can accommodate up to 18 adults on site at Iscoyd with a further 8 in Wolvesacre Mill Cottage, an estate cottage a couple of minutes drive away from the main house.

The Foxglove Room, the Green Room and Bridal Suite are in the main house. Designed by the renowned Suzy Hoodless, these rooms are beautifully decorated by a combination of family antiques and pictures along with more contemporary elements.
