Cadets must keep a detailed notebook of what is reviewed each day. Cadet’s notes should reflect the same attention to detail that is required in police report writing.

Junior Police Academy inspires young people to be outstanding citizens by introducing them to the vital role

law enforcement plays in America.

The Goals of the Academy:

1) To help the students to recognize and appreciate the vital role that law enforcement plays in the real world.

2) To help students understand their own obligation as citizens.

Integrity Code:

JPA operates under a code of personal integrity. It is the expectation that cadet will assume responsibility for his/her own action.

Law Enforcement Oath of HonorPolice officers take an oath when they assume the badge. An oath is a solemn pledge someone makes when he/she sincerely intends to do what he/she says. The oath suggested by the International Association of Chiefs of Police is:
