Points to Note

• All Express Course Subject Combinations can

lead to courses in JC or Poly.

• Admission to JC or Poly ultimately depends

on performance in GCE ‘O’ Levels (L1R5 or

L1R2B2).

• Subject combinations presented are subject

to change depending on school staffing,

student choices and student performance.

14

27

Points to Note

• Selection for subject combination is based first on student performance and choice second.

• Selection criteria takes into account the overall performance (average) ANDperformance in relevant subjects to the combination (additional weighting).

• For all courses, students must keep a minimum performance level in Sec 3 to retain their combination in Sec 4

28

Points to Note

• Students who are keen to get a course of their choice must put in consistent effort throughout the year.

• Admission to the courses is purely by merit and students must accept the School’s decision to assign them the course based on their overall performance in 2015.

15

• In selecting students who will become the next generation of doctors for Singapore, it is necessary to look beyond academic measures.

• Some other attributes of a good doctor are pro-social behaviour, communication skills, insight, integrity, teamwork, meticulous work habits and responsibility.

29

• A good H2 pass in Chemistry and a good H2

pass in either Biology or Physics of the best

four content subjects (i.e. 3 H2 and 1 H1

content subjects) used in the computation of

the University Admission Score

• At least one content subject (either H2 or H1)

must be from a contrasting discipline
