Lancet Laboratories Uganda limited is the leading provider of private diagnostic pathology services in Uganda. Incorporated and registered in Uganda since April 2009, it forms part of the Lancet Laboratories East Africa Group based in Nairobi, Kenya Managed by Dr. Ahmed Kalebi

Lancet Laboratories was established over 60 years ago in the heart of Johannesburg's central business district and is one of South Africa's first private pathology laboratories.

In 1996 the main laboratory moved out of the CBD and into the suburb of Richmond.Strategically situated next to Johannesburg's main highways, our current location enables us to effectively service the whole of the Gauteng region.

In 2000 Lancet Laboratories merged with the Durban pathology practice, formerly known as Pillay MacIntosh & Partners, helping to expand our geographical reach and consolidate pathology expertise. Prior to the merger, Pillay MacIntosh commenced operations in 1986 and rapidly grew throughout the KwaZulu-Natal region. Historically, a referral system between the two laboratories had always existed, making this merger a natural progression and formalisation of the relationship.

More recently, Lancet has merged with the Dyson and Niehaus Laboratories in Pretoria and the Independent Pathology Services in Alberton, Johannesburg, thereby expanding our footprint and enabling us to provide our customers with more rapid turn-around times and service delivery in a very competitive and fast growing industry.

Today, Lancet Laboratories continues to grow and develop, with a special focus on expanding its services throughout Africa.
