  • Welcome to Malvern House, a new development in the heart of fashionable London Fields. People often remark on the area’s peaceful nature, but with so much going on it’s no wonder it has become one of London’s most sought-after locations. The neighbourhood has become known for its mix of calming residential community alongside the bustle of the city’s best bakeries, restaurants, cinemas and independent shops.

  • However don’t confuse soothing for sleepy – Dalston is just a stone’s throw away, and neighbourhood night-time spots pepper Kingsland Road, Broadway Market and the railway arches by London Fields with places to dance, drink and eat.

  • Luckily, you’re steps away from Wilton Way, one of East London’s best independent shopping streets. Get to know your local bakery, Violet, with its famously good cakes and brightly coloured salads. Down the road is local boozer The Spurstowe Arms, where Saturday nights are faithfully fun; and Momosan Shop, a boutique selling beautiful handmade ceramics, glassware and cotton aprons from faraway places.

    O N Y O U R D O O R S T E P

At weekends, the neighbourhood is abuzz with East London’s vibrant market scene. The pace is slow – because perusing this many food, craft, music and second-hand stalls can’t be rushed. Much-loved favourite, Broadway Market, is just a few minutes away and has been welcoming shoppers since the 1890s. Some come for organic meat, fruit and vegetables; fresh fish, smoked salmon and oysters; delicious bread, cakes and cheese. Others come to browse some of the best and most original vintage clothing in London – all while sipping a drip-filtered coffee.

Others just come to sit in the market’s idiosyncratic cafes, restaurants and pubs, and watch the world go by. A large proportion of the people that attend the market on Saturday live locally, walking or cycling, and returning week after week for their regular shopping.

If you need time out from the buzz of city life, there are verdant parklands and peaceful gardens just minutes away. London Fields is one of the most popular spaces: classified as common land due to its historical roots as a site for grazing animals, the park now offers meandering foot and cycle paths, tennis courts, children’s play areas, a cricket pitch, and the lido – one of only three heated outdoor 50m swimming pools in London.

  • With Dalston Junction, London Fields and Haggerston Overground stations all a 10 minute walk away, and frequent bus services on Kingsland Road and Mare Street, Malvern House is well-placed to get around London...and fast. You can be in Central London, The City or Shoreditch in 30 minutes, and over in Canary Wharf in 45 minutes. Prefer your commute to involve a stretch of the legs? A pleasant walk via Columbia Road to Shoreditch or The City takes just 40 minutes.

With the London Tube’s brand new Elizabeth line fully operational in 2019, quicker journey times to Central London, The City, Canary Wharf and Heathrow Airport via Liverpool Street station will make getting around even smoother.
