Marine Geology Fall 2020 16:460:541 & 01:460:451 Marine Geology provides an overview of the current knowledge and approaches to studying the 71% of Earth covered by ocean. It provides a broad overview intended for upper level undergraduate majors and graduate students both in Geological Sciences and allied Oceans and Atmospheric Sciences Programs. Marine Geology provides a capstone experience across wide-ranging disciplines (ocean crust and mantle, plate tectonics, margins, ocean circulation, climate, sediments, sea-level change, biogeochemical cycles, and paleoceanography). Class format is synchronous lecture with projects and possible field experience TBD by COVID-19 protocols
