This is my high school, its name is “IES Saavedra Fajardo”. Here is where I learn. I have eight subjects. They are: Maths, Biology, English, Art, Ethical Values, Technology, Italian, Spanish and History and Geography. My favourite subjects are Art and History and Geography.

In the class there are many computers but

sometimes we work in pairs. My mate is Lucía.

I love the canteen at my high school because there is very good food. In the cateen, my friends “Las Marquesas” and I talk and laugh every day. In the canteen you can buy a sanwich, a napolitana, chips, bubble gum…

THE LABORATORY

¢  In the laboratory we learn about science and we do experiments to learn more about our bodies or nature.It is near the playground .This year we are going to dissect a fish and we made a baromenter. It´s great fun to go to the laboratory.

THE ART CLASSROOM

¢  In the Art class we paint , we draw…We make drawings and we have to present the drawings .The classroom is near the playground, too . Our teacher is Pedro Roth.

HEAD TEACHER’S OFFICE

¢  It is on the fist floor and the director , the head teacher and maybe some teachers are usually here .When we have a problem sometimes we go here to solve it.

THE LAB •  It Is the place where students can learn things about Biology and

Geology.

•  In the lab there are a lot of microscopes, two blackboards, four or five sinks, a skeleton, cell figures and lab coats.

ART CLASS •  In this room students learn how to draw pictures well. The

students must give their sheets to the teacher.

•  In the classroom there are a lot of tables and chairs, a blackboard and cupboards.

HEAD TEACHER’S ROOM

•  The head teacher is here to talk about problems about the school.

•  Students come here when they have a problem.

•  In this room there are computers, tables and chairs.

•  If any student need to call their parents or someone he needs to go there

My school IES Saavedra Fajardo

In the gym Saavedra Fajardo students do physical exercise. We do many sports such as football, basketball, hokey, etc.

�  The materials we use are: footballs, basketballs, hokey sticks, tennis rackets, cones and sometimes banks.

The canteen surely is our favourite place. The bar is always full at recess. Their meals are: bread pizza, Neapolitan, sandwiches, etc.

On the track we do many exercises and sports with the teacher. We do sports like basketball, football, jockey, speed, etc. And we take tests. Often when it rains we cannot go out because we can slip and fall and have an accident.

The  gym  is  a  place  to  do  sports  or  exercise  in  an  enclosed  area.  

 

The  gym  is  regarded  as  a  preparaIon  for  higher  educaIon  in  many  countries  with  the  same  school  system.

The  Art  classroom  is  the  classroom  where  a  teacher  specialized    in  this  area  is  responsible  for  teaching  their  students.  

   He  is  also  responsible  for  correcIng  and  recIfying  our  mistakes.

 The  playground  is  where  students  spend  most  of  the  break  and  where  the  students  can  relax    

 You  can  also  perform  the  physical  educaIon  acIviIes  in  the  yard.

MY SCHOOL 1ºA IES Saavedra Fajardo

Introduction

In this power point we will talk about different areas in my school. The areas I have chosen are the gym and the staffroom. Let's start with the gym.

THE GYM

All students in the high school, from the youngest to the oldest, use the gym. We use the gym to do excercise and fitness classes but we also go outside to take lessons. Teachers keep here all necessary materials such as balls, ropes, shovels ... It is very comfortable and big and there are the things to take gym class because it is large enough to run or perform any other activity that requires a great space.

STAFFROOM

In the staffroom tutors and teachers meet to discuss the qualifications of their students, the attitude of students and sometimes to discuss any issue that has to take measures or things related to students .
