Medtronic offers an education program called myLearning. myLearning is a series of self-paced, online learning courses that you can use in order to be more successful using insulin pump and CGM therapies.

These courses include images, activities, and exercises, and allow you to learn at the pace that is comfortable for you.

We recommend that you access myLearning before your training session. This document will provide you the steps to do so and give some suggestions on which classes to complete.

How to Access myLearning

o Enter your name exactly as you see it on the communications you have received from Medtronic so that your account can be found. For example, if you ordered your pump under the name “Robert Jones” but enter “Bob Jones”, the system won’t be able to recognize you.

o If you already have a myHome account or place supply orders online, that username and password should be used here.

o Your CareLink® Personal Software username and password will NOT work for myLearning. You must set up a different username and password to use here.

Helpful tips when registering and logging on

1 Go to www.medtronicdiabetes.com

3 Sign in using your username and password, OR if this is your first visit, click on Register

2 Click on myLearning at the top of the page

Some of these classes are designed to be done before your face-to-face training; others can be done afterward. Any of the modules can be used as refresher classes. In addition, the classes do not have to be completed in one sitting. You can stop and start again from where you left off.

We hope that you are excited about the classes that myLearning has to offer. By taking these classes, we feel you will be more comfortable using Medtronic therapies, and as a result, will have the best glucose control possible.

o If this is your FIRST time on a Medtronic pump, complete:o “Getting Started with your Paradigm Revel Insulin Pump”o “Exploring CareLink® Software and Reports” (Chapters 1–4)

o If you were already using a Medtronic pump when you received the Revel pump, complete:o “Upgrade Training for Paradigm Revel Insulin Pump”o “Exploring CareLink® Software and Reports” (Chapters 1–4)

6 Once you are ready to start a class, click on Take this class. It may take a few minutes for the classes to load on to your computer.

4 Once in myLearning, you will see the myClasses page and the courses that have been assigned to you, arranged by topic. You may need to click on More Classes to see the entire list.

5 To enroll in a class, click on Enroll in Class.

o It will be helpful to Add to Self enrollment List the Insertion Module for the infusion set you are using. You can then follow along the first few times you change your infusion set on your own.

7 You can also add a class that has not been automatically assigned to you. To do this, click on Browse Class Catalog in the upper right corner of page. Choose the class that you want to add and click on Add to Self-Enrollment List. These classes will then show up under the topic Self-Enrolled Classes.

o If you enter myLearning and don’t see any courses listed, it may be that your account has not had time to update. We suggest you wait 24 hours and try again.
