Employment Information

Getting Paid• Employment Authorizations

• Payroll Information - Time sheets- Noncontract days- Calendars- Holidays

How is my Monthly Pay Calculated?

• Annual salary or contract value is divided by number of months of employment within the authorization/contract period. (E.g.: $$ / months = gross monthly pay). *Slightly different for new Faculty starting in September.

• Annual salary is based on hours worked per week and number of days worked per fiscal year. Contract value is based on days worked per week and total number of days left in contract year.

Time Sheets • Time sheets indicate exceptions only (time missed

from your regular schedule)

• Exception time is reported on time sheets two weeks in arrears - from 16th of previous month to 15th of current month

• Contracted Classified and Confidential employees (hourly employees) must turn in a time sheet each month

• Contracted Faculty, Management and Exempt employees only turn in time sheets when using time away

• Time sheets are due to your supervisor prior to Payroll Cutoff each month (talk to your department secretary)

• Holidays and NC days do not need to be reported on time sheets

More About Pay• Exception reporting on time sheets is through

the 15th of each month, but you are paid for the entire month (in equal payments each month). Exceptions to regular work time (such as sick and/or paid leave) taken after the 15th will be reflected on your paycheck for the following month.

• Payday is always the last working day of the month. ( published payroll schedule is on paperless office)

• Pay stubs are only available on employee tab in WebRunner

Holidays

• Contracted Classified, Confidential, and Management/Exempt employees are paid for designated holidays falling within their contracted work period

• Faculty are paid for instructional and in-service days only

Noncontract Days

• There are approx. 261 possible work days within each fiscal year.

• LBCC’s employment contracts range from 168 days to 248 days

• The difference between total possible work days and an employee’s contract days equals the number of noncontract (NC) days within that fiscal year period

• Noncontract days are un-paid days; an employee is not scheduled to work

Fiscal Calendar • Contracted Classified employees are required

to complete a calendar each year indicating their personal NC days

• There are no personal NC days for Management/Exempt and Confidential employees

• Faculty will work with their Division Dean to develop a work plan and schedule
