Welcome to our NurseryThank you for choosing Seabridge Nursery for your child.

We love to learn in our Nursery and we provide a rich, stimulating, creative learning environment where your children will thrive and develop in these crucial early years of their life. We work closely with you to learn about your child to help them settle, to find out about their interests and needs and the best way they learn. Our Nursery room is large and spacious, giving every child the opportunity to choose a wide range of activities each day. We learn in a wide range of ways through play, direct teaching, key group work and individually . We learn both indoors and direct teaching, key group work and individually . We learn both indoors and outside during the day.

We work in small groups and firstly focus on personal, social and emotional skills to nurture, foster independence and develop personal growth.

We move on to specific skills including literacy , maths and the wider the curriculum throughout the year . We use the children’s interests when teaching the curriculum through themes and concepts. Our themes are always shown on our section of the school website, alongside further detail about the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

We also focus on your child’s next steps and ,over the year their readiness for next stage of education in Reception .

Transition to Nursery

Usually we have a clear transition programme when your child

comes to Nursery. This would include visit days, parents open

evening, visits to your child’s present setting and meeting their

Key worker etc. However this year, under these difficult and

unprecedented circumstances we will be unable to complete this.unprecedented circumstances we will be unable to complete this.

To help us to learn about your child, we will have a ‘get to know you’

phone call , where you will be able to tell us all about your child and

we can answer any questions you may have.

We have recently set up a Seabridge Nursery Facebook and

Instagram page for you to access . It has information about us; you

can meet the team and there is a virtual tour of our Nursery for you

to familiarise yourselves with our lovely environment.
