All of us at the German International School of Silicon Valley (GISSV) are excited to be holding our 6th annual German Holiday Market in the City of Mountain View. Thank you Mountain View City Council for your continued support!

GISSV is a nonprofit independent school accredited and partly funded by the German government.

The school is deeply rooted in European traditions and culture while also embodying an open and modern

international community. Silicon Valley’s multicultural environment is the perfect setting to share

our “Weihnachtsmarkt” and the great traditions that come with it.

The German Holiday Market is a volunteer-driven event of our international school community supporting GISSV.

A School Community Goes “Heinzelmännchen”

Just one and a half years after its founding, GISSV celebrated its very first German Holiday Market on its Easy Street campus in Mountain View in 2001. The event soon became an annual community favorite. In December 2006, GISSV was proud to invite the public to this beloved event on its campus for the first time and in 2013, the Market moved to Downtown Mountain View.

Due to the tireless efforts of volunteers over many years, GISSV’s Holiday Market has evolved to become an important event in our yearly schedule.
