Introduction
John 8:1-12 – (11) “And Jesus said to her, ‘Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
(12) “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Definition of Sin
I John 3:4 – “Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.”
I John 5:17 – “All unrighteousness is sin”
James 4:17 – “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.”
Nature of Sin
James 1:14-16 – “But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.”
Hebrews 3:12-13 – “lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”
Romans 3:23 – “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
Effects of Sin
