Click the pokeball to continue the battle!A wild Pikachu appeared! Learn more about a parallelogram to catch it!

24A = (b)(h)A is the area of the parallelogramb is the base of the parallelogram, which is the horizontal line at the bottom or top. In our case, the base is 4h is the height of the parallelogram. In our case, the height is 2

A wild Squirtle appeared! Learn more about a rectangle to catch it!32

A = (l)(w)A is the area of the rectanglew is the width of the rectangle , which is the part that is vertical. In our case, the width is 2l is the length of the rectangle, which is the horizontal part. In our case, the length is 3

Today we will learn about the space in between the lines of six different shapes. This space is called the area and is calculated differently for all shapes. These shapes are a circle, square, rectangle, triangle, parallelogram, and trapezoid.

This video gives a great explanation about the area of shapes.

A wild Bulbasaur appeared! Learn the area of a circle for a chance to catch it!2A is the area of the circler is the radius, which on the circle is the line that goes from the center, to the edge of the circle. In this case, our radius is 2 or r=2 is a number which has a really long decimal, but we will just say it is equal to 3.14A = r2

Gary wants to battle!Use all the skills and equations you gained in the past slides to defeat him!
