Remember dear brothers and sisters that we are still battling the Covid-19. This pandemic will not last for as long as we keep following the recommendations from the experts and the guidelines they pro-vide for our security.

It is our Christian and moral duty to be as faithful as possible in the implementation of these; being that, caring for my own life and the life of others is what Jesus invites us all to do in the Gospel.

Do not be discouraged, try to live out in holy patience that makes us grow in forti-tude and prudent.

Dear parishioners: Let us give a heartfelt thank you to deacon Carlos whose presence was a blessing for all of us. His compassion and hard work demonstrates how much he loves his vocation and God’s people. It is very sad that due to the pandemic we were unable to celebrate his diaconal ordination; however, we are going to keep accompanying him with our prayers and our love. Dear Parents and students, Just a reminder that religious education is going “Virtual” us-ing gmail hangouts and will start in September on Saturday’s from 9 - 9:45. Sign up Forms were sent out using Flocknotes back in July. You can also find them through our Parish website. I do have forms available in our parish office. Please fill out the forms as soon as possible in order to allow us to add your child’s email ad-dress to our google account. We do have a meeting scheduled for Sunday, August 30th, one at 9:30 for grades K,1,2,3,4,5 and at 11:45 for grades 6,7,8,9,10. Chief Wojnar will also be present to talk about “Safe Environment.” Books will be available for pickup in the back hall using “Safe Distancing”. MASS INTENTION:

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ:

In striking words, the pope said: “The Mass is not paid for, redemption is free. If you want to make an offering okay, but the Mass cannot be paid for.”

In following this wise statement from our Pope, I would like to encourage you to approach us and see if there are any open intentions for a particular Mass.

Mass intentions are not only for the memory of a deceased person; rather, you can offer a Mass of thanksgiving for a birthday, the birth of a baby, for the health of someone… and other different intentions that we may want to present to Jesus.

As the Pope said, do not worry if you do not have any contribution… that is not what matters. For me, as pastor, what matters is that you have access to these, and that we can unite as com-munity to the celebration of these intentions.

“Or who has given the Lord any-thing that he may be re-paid?” (Romans 11:35) St. Paul reminds us of a central fact of stewardship. We cannot give the Lord anything - God already owns it all. God made everything. All we can do is return a portion of God’s many gifts back to Him. Sincere gratitude for our gifts opens our hearts to joyful gener-osity! Religious Education Secretary

St. Anne/St. Patrick Parish in Sturbridge, supervised by the Augustinians of the As-sumption, is seeking to fill a Religious Edu-cation Secretary position. The applicant must have knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, Publisher and is willing to learn how to use ParishSoft and Trumba, who can work with minimal supervision, and with good communication skills. This is a part time position at 13 to 15 hours per week (10 to 12 hours per week during this phase of the pandemic). Working experience with grade school children is an advantage.

A 30 week directed prayer experience in the tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola is being offered by a team of Jesuits and lay people experienced in Ignatian prayer.

Information Nights explaining the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life will be held at the following:

on Tuesday, August 11 at 7:00 pm St. John Church, 44 Tem-ple Street, Worcester,

on Tuesday, August 18 at 6:30 pm St. Peter Church, 929 Main St., Worcester, in the lower church.

on Tuesday, August 25 at 6:30 pm, St. Joseph Church, 10 H Putnam Road Ext, Charlton.

Starting on September 29, 2020, each weekly session will be approximately ninety minutes and will include reflection, direction and a presentation.

Sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings at St. Peter’s Church in Worcester, adjacent to Clark University. Dear Lectors

First of all, I want to send you a word of encouragement and

support in these difficult times. The Parish is always keeping you all

in prayer, asking the Lord to strengthen you at all times and to

give you patience.

As you have noticed, little by little we have resumed the

celebration of Holy Eucharist. Furthermore, we are inviting you, if it

is your wish, to resume your duties as lectors at Mass. Due to the

regulations we can allow just one lector per Mass. Therefore, if you

have any interest about reading at Mass, please, contact Valerie

from Monday - Friday from 8 AM to 1 PM and let us know. We will

be creating a new lector’s schedule and posting it on our

webpage.
