May the divine Heart of Jesus be pleased to bestow them upon us through thy intercession, so that once again He may be loved and glorified through thee. Amen

The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus — this Friday, June 23

The first feast of the Sacred Heart was celebrated on August 31, 1670 in Rennes, France, but it took the visions of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque for the devotion to become universal. Almost 100 years later, in 1856, Pope Pius IX, at the request of the French bishops, extended the feast to the universal Church. Don’t miss the Ken Lonquist benefit concert Ken Lonnquist and his siblings are former Sacred Heart students. Ken began writing songs when he was a 2nd grader at Sacred Heart Catholic School. He has gone on to write and sing numerous songs for the entertainment of families and their children. He is doing a concert for the benefit of Sacred Heart School on Sunday, August 20th at 1:00 pm. He has also agreed to do a second concert at 3:30 if the first one sells out quickly.
