Jubilee Year of Mercy

The second Corporal Work of Mercy is “give drink to the thirsty.” Many of our brothers and sisters in Christ do not have access to clean water and suffer from the lack of this basic necessity. We should sup-port the efforts of those working towards greater ac-cessibility of this resource. Donate to help build wells for water for those in need. Organize a group of children involved on a sports team or a summer camp. Invite them to collect bottled water to distribute at a shelter for families. Ask par-ents to accompany their children in delivering the wa-ter to the families. Do the same for youth and young adult groups. Make an effort not to waste water. Remembering to turn off the water faucet when you are brushing your teeth or washing dishes can help, especially in regions suffering from drought.

Faith Formation Holiday Schedule No classes will be held this Wednesday, December 30.

Holy Father’s Prayer Intentions of the Month Universal Intention: That all may experience the mercy of God, who never tires of forgiving Intention for Evangelization: That families, espe-cially those who suffer, may find in the birth of Jesus a sign of certain hope.

WHO DONE IT??? Was it the butler, or could it be the

cockney maid, or even Father Timothy?

The answer will be revealed on January 30, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. when the SJA Players present “The Butler Did It” at their annual Dinner Thea-tre in the Fellowship Hall.

Despite the title, you won’t know the answer for sure until the very end!

Tickets for the show and dinner are $15.00 per person and go on sale January 2 and 3. The SJA Players’ productions are always a sell-out so be certain to get your tickets early!

The Women's Spirituality Group will not meet in January, due to the holidays. We will meet next on Saturday, February 6th. More details will follow in January.

Please keep current with your pledges. That is the only way that your Church can receive its share of our goal to pay our mortgage and make the necessary improvements. If you haven't been visited by one of our team members to explain this campaign please call the Parish Office and we will have one of our team members contact you. Thank you to all who have participated up to this point. You have pushed us to-wards our goal. We need everybody's support in order to reach our goal. We are counting on you.

If you have made a pledge to the FFHL Capital Campaign and have not yet received an envelope from the Diocese to mail in your donation or, if you signed up for automatic pay-

ments through your bank account or credit card and the withdrawals haven't started, please contact Paul LeSchack at: 828-665-9809; he, or a member of the FFHL team will follow up with the Diocese.

2015 Diocesan Support Appeal Every DSA gift is important and changes the lives of people throughout the diocese. It’s not too late to make a gift to the DSA!
