The reception will be in the Golden Gate Ballroom C on Level B2. Comprised of some of the most in-demand musicians in the Bay Area, the Speakeasies have become one of California’s premier event bands, playing authentic jazz and early soul. The founding members of the band have been playing together for over 15 years and have toured in over 50 countries, with everyone from Herbie Hancock to Lauryn Hill. PARKING Parking is difficult in San Francisco. The Marriott offers valet parking only, for $79.99 a day. There is a municipal parking garage on Mission between Fourth and Fifth streets. Stratification is based on averaging the MPs of a pair or team except in any event or flight with an upper limit, when no single player’s MP total may exceed that limit. Eligibility for limited events is based on the MP total for the highest player.

ENTRY FEESPlayers must be ACBL members whose service fees or dues are current in order to

compete in any of the following nationally ranked events: Soloway Knockout Teams, Nail Life Master Pairs, Whitehead Women’s Pairs, Reisinger Board-a-Match Teams, Keohane North American Swiss Teams, NABC+ Mixed Swiss Teams, Kaplan Blue Ribbon Pairs, Mitchell Open Board-a-Match Teams, Senior Mixed Pairs and Super Senior Pairs. The entry fee for these contests is $30 per player per session. For team events, this means $120 per team per session for four-person teams, $150 per team per session for five-person teams, and $180 per team per session for six-person teams.

Note: $1.50 per person per session benefits the International Fund.Players must also be current ACBL members to play in the 0-6000 Mini-Blue Ribbon Pairs, the

0-10,000 Swiss Teams, the 0-10,000 IMP Pairs and the 0-10,000 Fast Pairs. The entry fee is $22 per player per session. For the team events, this means $88 per team per session for teams of four, $110 per team per session for teams of five, and $132 per team per session for teams of six.

Regional events are $20 per player per session for current members, $24 for lapsed members. For multi-session team events of three sessions or more, the entry fee is $80, $100 or $120 for teams of four, five or six, respectively. For team events of one or two sessions, the entry fee is $80 per session.

Events with a masterpoint limit of 300 or lower are $15 per player per session for current members, $19 for lapsed members.

Notice to players who reside outside North America:Participation in the Nail Life Master Pairs is limited to ACBL members who have achieved the rank of

Life Master. Players who reside outside North America and who do not meet this criteria, but feel they are otherwise eligible to participate, must receive a waiver prior to the commencement of the contest. For waiver information, please arrive early and see the Director-in-Charge at the selling site. Please note that players who have been waived into previous Life Master Pairs do not have to re-apply.

NABC via credit card. All major credit cards are accepted wherever entries are sold. Charges will appear as ACBL Tournament Entry.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE POLICYThe ACBL’s electronic device policy allows

players to bring electronic devices such as cell phones into the playing area provided that such devices are turned off . Further, any such equipment must not be visible during the session.

A violation of the policy will result in an automatic disciplinary penalty of one full board (or 12 IMPs at that form of scoring) for the fi rst off ense. A second off ense will result in disqualifi cation from the event.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREDA valid ACBL player number is required to play

in all events at the NABC. Along with one-year and three-year memberships, 30-day trial memberships are available for $7.99.
