serious family problem, please email or send a note explaining the situation, so that extensions may be given.
Grading
• If a grade of D or F is received on a quiz or test (with the exception of Language Arts tests), your child may have the opportunity to retake or correct the test.
• Assignments receiving a grade of C- or above cannot be redone for a higher grade.
Homework We assign about 1 hour of homework Monday
through Thursday. This includes 20 to 30 minutes of reading
EVERY DAY.
The Corona-Norco School District’s policy on homework suggests that a time allotment up to 1 hour a night be given to sixth grade students. This is an hour for the “Average” student.
This does not include time for breaks, so expect to spend a longer amount of time if your child gets off task or is constantly taking breaks.
Your child’s homework is due first thing in the morning.
Homework
• Homework is the responsibility of the student, not their parents!
• Students are expected to record every assignment in the planners or organizers that are parent provided.
• Communication Folders– All student work and flyers from the school will be
distributed to go home on Tuesday. Please DO NOT dispose of any papers.
Students responsibilities:
IT IS THE CHILD’S RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE CARE OF THE MATERIALS IN THE FOLDER AND PRESENT IT TO YOU. Students need to have their parents sign, date, and return folders the next day
