When will my system / site transition to 2.0 platform?
2.0 Release Update Process 2.0 Update
Starting June 3 until June 21, 2019 all existing enterprise management customers will be transitioned to
2.0 platform. We are staging the transition of our customers to ensure we are able to provide proper
support and attention to all our customers.
When will I know when is my site transitioning to the new platform?
You will be informed via email at least a week in advance of the ‘date’ when your site is scheduled to
transition to the new 2.0 platform.

How do I access the new platform post transition? Will the URL or my user details be
impacted with the transition?
Your original user details (username and password) will remain the same. However, we have a new URL for
the system post 2.0 transition.

Yes, all custom widgets, reports and rules will be transitioned to the new 2.0 platform.
Will there be any impact to the Urjanet interface for Utility Bill Module?
No impact to the Urjanet interface for Utility Bill Module, everything will be transitioned to the new 2.0
platform.

Will the landing page display all the modules or display licensed modules?
User Features
Modules or Applications (as referred to starting with the 2.0 release) will reflect on the landing page.
Applications (Apps) with licensed subscription will be accessible by the user and other applications will be
grayed out.
Are all the features of 1.3x release part of the 2.0 release? If not, which features have
changed?
All 1.3x release features are part of the 2.0 release feature set. You can refer to the product bulletin for
more information. You can also refer to the Before-After Reference Guide for Users that will guide the user
to identify previously used widgets / features as compared to the 2.0 release feature set.

right of your home page to access the in-app portal.
Will the water or other types of commodities show occupied and unoccupied consumption
similar to electric meters?
Starting with the 2.0 release, yes the application will show occupied and unoccupied consumption data for
all types of commodities

EUI data shown in the location performance widget is for Financial year or calendar year?
User Features
Considering EUI widget is within the energy application widget, the two options available are yearly view
and monthly view. The yearly view is based on the calendar year and NOT financial year.
Do you have a mobile app for my facility team? What is your plan for a mobile app?
Johnson Controls Enterprise Management is designed on HTML5 interface and can be viewed on a mobile
browser if required. It may not be very responsive on a mobile screen.
A mobile app for Johnson Controls Enterprise Management is on the roadmap.

Is User Interface the only main update for 2.0?
User UX Design
No, User Interface is one of the many updates as part of 2.0 launch. We have feature enhancements across
all applications along with a new application – Financial App. Please review the ‘Product Bulletin’ and
Quick Benefits Sheet for more information.

Will the configurable widgets be retained during the migration?
Yes, all configurable (or custom) widgets and dashboards will be retained in the 2.0 platform.
Will there be a popup box indicating shutdowns, upgrades or issues that are occurring in
the system
Yes, we are working on a splash screen to indicate shutdowns, upgrades or issues in the system. We also
have the In-App Portal for any additional updates, announcements, access guides, Job Aids and supporting
material to use the platform. Click on the camera icon on the top right of your home page to access the in-
app portal.

Do we have any major security enhancements for 2.0?
Platform Security
Yes, the Enterprise Management 2.0 platform is more secure and certified to the latest Global Product
Security norms. Please see the Johnson Controls Enterprise Management Product Bulletin for more
information.
What is idle session time out period on JEM User Interface?
The application will log the user out if the session is inactive for one hour.

Can we access user audit and event log as a user?
No, currently user audit and event log feature is not available. However, it is on the Enterprise Management
roadmap.

What kind of encryption is used for data in Enterprise Management?
Platform Data
Johnson Controls Enterprise Management team does not create any kind of programmatic encrypt for any
meta data (Entity). We use a feature in azure named as 'TDE - Transparent data encryption'.
Azure encrypts data in transition and at rest using TDE mechanism due to the azure license.
How long is the data stored on cloud?
Data Storage on cloud is divided into 2 parts:
• 3 years active data storage
• Post 3 years, archived for unlimited time frame or as long as the customer has an active subscription.
Which data centers is the data stored in?
Microsoft manages the data centers. Microsoft Data Centers where Enterprise Management data is stored
are located in United States, China and Australia.

How long is the data stored in Data Collector?
Platform Data
Data Collector stores the data up to 3 days. Please see the Data Collector Product Bulletin for more
information for its memory.

Will Data Collectors need to be updated? Who and when will these updates happen?
Updates, including but not limited to operating system, anti-virus and other built-in software, are the
responsibility of the customer, as defined by their security and service standards. Johnson Controls is
responsible for Johnson Controls Enterprise Management data collector software image remotely through
TeamViewer.

Will new data pulls be issued after the 2.0 platform transition?
Platform Data
No, it is not required as the 2.0 platform transition is only a software update.
How will existing 1.3x sites be affected with new information being needed for 2.0 that was
not needed in 1.3?
There will be no loss of data in the transition to 2.0 platform. The new features and UI will be updated in 2.0
with no impact to the platform functioning.
However, please note new dashboard / widgets that require new information will not be populated
automatically (until configured in setup).
What is the bandwidth required for the data collector to function smoothly?
Bandwidth is dependent on the no. of points configured. As a best practice rule, one point needs 4kb
bandwidth.
What is the warranty terms for Data Collector?
2 years warranty for the Data Collector hardware. Hardware and Software have different warranty terms.
Software warranty is as per the subscription.
