Welcome to the Monmouth Court Gym!

Our indoor rink is perfect for floor hockey!

Let’s take a look at our equipment.

Pictured above, we have a goal, hockey sticks, some balls and pucks. That’s all we need!

Look! Our hockey sticks are soft at the end.

This will keep you safe while playing!

Here’s the right way to hold your

hockey stick.

Use two hands at all times!

Moving the puck is called dribbling.

To dribble, move the puck from side to side with your stick. Try to keep the puck in front of you.

During play, you will need to pass

the puck to a teammate.

To pass, look where you are

passing to, then push the puck to your teammate.

You can also shoot at the goal. Shoot at the goal to

score points for your team!

Here’s the proper way to shoot:

1. Keep your eyes on the puck. Lift your stick to your waist.

2. Hit the puck. 3. Follow through, just a little bit.

DO NOTDO THIS!

We never lift the hockey

stick above our heads.

Watch out for that goalie! Each team has one goalie

whowill try to stop you from scoring.

FLOOR HOCKEY RULES

1. Keep your hands on your stick

at all times.

2. Use only your stick to move the puck. Don’t kick it.

3. Shoot the puck at the goal to score points. The team with the most points wins the game.

4. If you hear a whistle, stop playing.
