Creating Modules for The Word Bible Software

The Word Software allows you, the user, to create your own

commentaries, dictionaries or general books. You may either

use your own material or if you have access to a text which is

public domain, you may convert it into a module to be used

within the program. You are encouraged to share your

modules with the larger TW community. Visit

http://thefirstsixdays.com/TheWordBibleSoftware.htm for

instructions as to where to send the files once you have

completed them. There you will also find new resources to

download.

Naturally, items of a questionable nature (theologically or

copyright) will not necessarily be made available on the

official TW website.

Creating content for The Word (TW) is extremely simple.

Here is what you need to do:

1. Decide what text you would like to add

2. In TW click on File

a. New User Module

A Dialogue box will appear: decide what type of work it is

i. Commentary

ii. Dictionary

iii. Generic Book

b. Next, give a title for the new work. Keep in

mind that this will be the first thing that

people search for. Be descriptive as

possible.

c. A dialogue box will show the following –

just click ok.

Click on the paper and pencil, then new topic

Create a title or general information page

and give credit to the source (make sure

you have permission from the author)

d. Next, label major sections (Book I, Book II or

Volume I, Volume II use descriptive names if

given)

If it is just one book, provide the

chapter heads (use the author’s

chapter headings!)
